Fed up with fellow fans who slag him off. He has been a stalwart ofvthe club for many years and stayed loyal when others left for golden pastures. Consistently excellent recognised by his peers and in the last few years has scored a lot of goals for a midfielder. Brilliant at the start of the season which helped us to ten straight home wins whenhe dominated games. Now after a continuous six years of football he is tired and jaded. Yet when he comes on he still oozes class and the opposition can't get the ball off him. And now look - criticised by many fans who can't see the big picture. I despair. He is absolute crucial next year and he will be in the starting line up regularly next year. Still at least Malky values him. I have real respect for Witts. If you can't see his talent and respect what he has done and is still doing you are obviously medically unwell.

What are you on about. Hes in bad form and has been rightly dropped.
Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:40 pm
I think everyone respects him but if you're not playing well you should not play and right now Mutch and Kimbo are a lot better than him at what they do, hence they start the games. I would like to see if he can adapt to a new league next season.

This ^^^^ It's up to Whitts now to fight for his place back.
Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:47 pm
He stays with us becouse hes well paid..... comfort zone at championship level....his girl friends from cardiff area and does not want to move ...is rightly dropped as his form is terrible ...others have played as many games as him ...and hes had plenty of rest during international breaks as hes not an international

where were you when posters were calling gestede a donkey or the like ..or do you only support the blue eyed boy

I agree with you Craig. What I am saying is that those saying he is rubbish and cannot cut it now or in the premiership are deluded and unappreciative of him.
Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:50 pm
Crucial next year, I don't think so, a good player YES, but currently you cannot argue he's done fook all. Mutch, Kim, Gunner are the men in form. If Whitts wants back into this team he needs to earn his place. Malky sees them day in day out, it's down to him. There is no question our form and results have changed since Whitts has been dropped!
I still think there is a place for him in our future but not right now!!!
Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:51 pm
I like him as a player, but tired and jaded, come on,I wish these footballers lived in the real world, try working all your life on a building site,8 to 5 with the way the weather is in this country, then he ll know what being tired and jaded really feels like

Not very often lately that I agree with Craig, but Whitts has been off form and rightly so Malky dropped him, Whitts has not deserved his place in the staring 11.

but he doesnt deserve to be slagged off, after everything hes done ere.
Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:57 pm
We have played much better attacking football without him, but he does look a lot sharper coming on as a sub the last couple of games

Not slagging him off fella but without doubt he's not offering a lot right now.
He's done fantastic stuff for us, but right now he needs a rocket up his arse!

i didn't say anyone on this thread was slagging him off!
you must of missed the topic 'peter wittingham is a coward' people calling him unprofessional and so on,
its bizarre in my eyes, but i agree that hes out of form, but inform he'll walk in our starting 11 IMO

Didn't miss it, and didn't agree with it, these 'fans' that call our players cowards have short memories. Agree when and if he gets it back he will be a first choice ....not right now though!!!!

how do you know he stays with us because he is well paid? I know you watch the team train a lot has whitts said to you directly that hes only staying because he is well paid???
Sun Apr 14, 2013 5:08 pm
Did not say just well paid ...and yes I do go to watch training and whitts doesnt break sweatif you must know....and every one knows that our players are well paid ....hes renewed his contract a couple of times dont suppose his wages went down do you
Sun Apr 14, 2013 5:10 pm
Im sure fulham would have offered him a lot more than we give
Sun Apr 14, 2013 5:18 pm
Whittingham isn't getting into the side at the moment because there are better options for the style of play Malky Mackay wants to utilise.
That doesn't make Whittingham a bad player suddenly.
Sun Apr 14, 2013 5:20 pm
Agree but his form makes him a bad player at present

Yes. He is totally off form, but to write him off totally would be naive. (I'm not saying that you are doing that by the way)
I don't think it helps that he plays this role just in front of the back four.
Cannot see Whittingham getting into the team for the rest of the season though, barring injuries, of course.
Sun Apr 14, 2013 5:28 pm
stayed loyal? only because no fecker wants him, they know he's poor, he has a few months of good games then goes back to hiding under a rock
he's not good enough

apologies you did not, he does not break a sweat doesn't mean he is not training hard, if he wanted to be well paid he could of went to Fulham etc when they came for him, nothing to do with loyalty I suppose, he is rightly dropped for being out of form maybe malky should play him in his correct position
Sun Apr 14, 2013 5:35 pm
Not good enough? He was responsible for the majority of our points pre xmas

I dont blame him for his loss of form I blame Malky.
Stevie Wonder can see Gunnar should be sitting behind Whitts but Malky stifled Whitts completely playing him on the toes of the centre halfs.
Malky finally puts Gunnar in his correct position and Whitts gets dropped without being given the chance to play attacking midfielder.
If I was Whitts id be pissed off too.

Imagine if whitts was playing jordan mutch's role. Not a dig at mutchy whos played very well last couple of games
The whittingham is a coward thread was perhaps the worst one ive seen since ive been a member of this forum
Sun Apr 14, 2013 6:24 pm
Whitts is too laid back to play mutch's role....no where near agile enough
