Hello mate, you hinted a while back that if we beat Peterboro and Blackburn that Tan could go ahead and expand the stadium this summer. I can't understand the logic of waiting to see if we stay up next season before we expand, cos even if we do stay up next season that doesn't guarantee that we'll stay up the season after (ask qpr)!
Do you think there is any chance that we could gamble and expand this summer? :ayatollah:

I just don't get the thinking behind it! I'm not one of those who doesn't want any new fans (or plastics as some call them) and the amount of people I know who have asked me about season tickets since yesterday is unbelievable! :malky:

The logic is that this season apart from the last couple of games we have struggled to fill the 27,000 seater stadium, if we come back down having spent £15m on the expansion and getting approximately an extra 3 or 4 million in revenue then we have spent £11m ish and now have a 35,000 seater stadium with at least 10,000 empty seats every game.

I still believe the only plans this summer is to fill the two corners of the canton stand and add a few extra seats around the stadium. Remember there is the Bon jovi concert in June so there will be minimum disruption.
If things are looking good next season I believe the expansion to 35k will take place but I would assume the new training facility is of higher importance as the addition of an accommodation block would allow us to upgrade the academy to the highest level .

I heard the same Steve, they will get it to 27,000 for next season, then decide whats next depending on how our season goes next season.

Personally lads, i think it's a huge missed opportunity. I think we need to strike while the iron's hot and we could always explain to bon jovi that we want to go up in a 'blaze of glory'! (i'll get my coat)
