Time for Vincent Tan to send a cheque to Sam ?

Sun Apr 14, 2013 10:13 am

With the Langston debt rising by £5m if we go up, surely tomorrow/Tuesday Am would be a good time to pay off the loan now for VT if he plans to turn his debt to equity ?

If it isn't done now then it would appear he has another plan to sort it - thinking he can exchange it for shares to Sam or has a loophole to avoid paying it .

No worries, when QPR go down and Fernandez joins Tan - Sam will be banging on the door to be on board again! ;)

Annis, have I read on here that Tan is having an apartment built for himself in the stadium or have I been having insane dreams again?

Yes, when I spoke to Steve Borley he told me it was more of a "freshen up" room, rather than actual living quarters.

Its sort of true Craig,a large bedroom and office are being built for him.
A lot of work is being done inside the stadium this summer.

Do you think Tan is here for the long term Annis? (I know your feelings about him just asking objectively)

Annis - why doesn't he build a hotel next to the Sandmartin - damn sight easier and take that eyesore away!

tim
i would love to think it would be resolved soon but i have a feeling it will run to 2016 now where i think personally sams position will get weaker especially if the debt to tan dwarfs whats owed to sam.
tan might also want to see langstons hand and where the original monies came from which would mean another court case which would run for another couple of years.

He might go for it but will he get it, otherwise why hasn't Tan paid Sam off by now, i wouldn't think Tan is the type of person to pay out extra millions for the hell of it

So where does that leave the VT's debt to equity conversion which was a big sweetener in the unnecessary rebrand but was dependent on settling the Langston debt?

Don't say VT is changing the goal posts!!!

I will leave it here for now, until the end of the season, but I disagree totally with what Steve says, I reckon it will def be resolved this year and Tan will pay a lot more than he would of last July.

Annis can you just answer me this please? You say it will def be resolved this year and that Tan will pay a lot more than he would have last july? Would this be against Tan's wishes or has an agreement been made between Sam and Tan?

If I was tan I would now use the stalling tactics.....could put this payment off for years.

Legal technicality here and there....the courts love that sort of thing. :malky:
