Gordon Yandell, a legend among us oldies, a Tredegar lad mad as a box of frogs, he been living in Edinburgh a good few years now, but still turned up wherever, a real character and a sad loss to all that knew him.

Sad, sad news that gwyn, i'll never forget when i went to my first ever away game, it was orient (1974-75 i think) i made my way to newport train station and met up with a bunch of lads from tredegar, gordon was amongst them, he was barking mad, and for years after that i would meet him at many an away games, he never had any teeth and was always up for a laugh.
RIP GORDON.

we had a b and b booked in torquay where i booked the double bed first for myself when gordon turned up having paid £75 train fare down from edinbrugh and that was in the early eighties so my mates said he could sneak in with us and gave him half my bed what a nightmare swearing at each other every time we moved ,remember him and john from harlepool leaving stinkbombs in pubs all over blackpool on a friday night down there its a shame hes gone .
