How can you increase the attendance after a losing spell or after relegation because crowds will always drop off Hmm

Roy, but you should turn up and support your team no matter what the results are.

Reason there are so many man united fans around this area, everyone wants to support a winning side

Annis i know the fact that we dont sell out week in week out is a major beef for you but we are one of very few clubs in the league who's attendances have risen dramatically over the last 15. We have gone from 3k to a consistent 22k+ in 15 years and i'd say only swansea, hull and brighton can come anywhere near that.

Great quote.
Brilliant as always from Mr Shankly

Excellent quote Annis, and Bill Shankly even played one game for us (during the war I believe)

A quote from an era where it was the working mans game and not expensive to attend. There was also less choice to spend ypur money on.
South Wales is a poor area and with 3 games in 8 days I dont know what people expect.

Umm maybe. I suppose the test for Wigan and Swansea would be their crowds if they were to come back down, whereas as cardiff, brighton and hull have proved they can still pull big crowds in the championship

I do agree with you there, we have come a long long way, but I honestly thought we were bigger than we were. As a 7year old right through my school days I dreamt of us being a Giant club like Liverpool etc who everyone supported in a Cardiff School.

I think we need to make the step to the next level then we will add another 10k. Though we have consistently failed at the last hurdle, and have never quite known what to expect the following season, our average gate and season season ticket sales have grown each season.
If i was Tan i would expand the season the day our promotion is sealed and i guarantee we would sell out 35k every week.
You know what it's like then, people will get the bug and we'll become bigger and bigger

I have tryed to get my mates who support man u liverpool etc to come to games and they aint interested.
What has always made me fume is if wales play rugby v England those same people hate England then and go on about how much they want to win .The next Saturday they are back supporting an English team again it pisses me off.
You have a team localy who do battle with England every week but because we are not as sucssesfull as Man u or Liverpool they dont like us .
These people anger me always will always have.
Its up to them I no but its all about the gory when it should be all about your home town club most of em just watch these clubs on the tv and never go to games but they all go on stadium tours for the day.
Thats why we never sell out .Next year are staduim will be sold out and the extra people will be fans of Liverpool etc living in are area shocking going to see Liverpool not Cardiff. Changing to Red hasnt brought any of these fans to are club.

Was it also Bill Shankly who said "football is not a matter of life and death, its much more important than that"
I always give that quote to the missus when she gives me the old "its only a bunch of overpaid twats kicking a ball"

Apparently, it had something to do with his wartime service (possibly RAF St Athan?)

Supporting a team that wins all the time must be so boring.

Choice between Tuesday or today for me, chose Charlton game instead. I make around 10 games a season as I have games myself on a sat and because of cost. It's been great so far as I can pick and chose my games to suite me, doubt tickets will be as easy to come by next season.
