An army of more than 3,800 Watford fans will descend on Peterborough United tomorrow – and that number could still grow.

The Hornets have confirmed they sold 3,850 tickets for the match at London Road before they ceased sales at midday.

There were expected to be no further opportunities for Watford supporters to buy tickets after Posh confirmed earlier in the week there would be no pay on the day facility.

However, they have now decided to allow away fans to buy tickets from them either online, via theposhtickets.com, or by calling 0844 847 1934 up until noon.

The number of tickets already sold means Watford will have their highest support for an away league game for a number of years as they go in search of the victory that could move them back into second spot if Hull City were to lose at Ipswich Town.

I wish we had more teams closer to us. We'd have taken over 2000 quite a few times this season IMO

I haven't really looked at the geography. Will we be much worse or better off in terms of distance to travel in the Prem?

Jacks have further to travel than us so it's not all bad.

London isn't far really, straight down the M4. Watford are a bigger club than us by a mile so this is no surprise at all.

No it's not a wind up actually.

They have been in the premier league on two occasions. Before that they competed in the first division before we did. They had a great team in the early 80s and came second in the league ffs. Also got to an FA cup final around then. Who gives a f**k about attendances.

They have also produced some great players and I see them as a bigger club than ourselves just as I see us as a bigger club than Wigan. Time to grow up for f**k sake, you think we are Barcelona.

Just another Bluebird with his head up his backside. Sorry, at risk of sounding like Roath c**t we haven't been in the top flight for over 50 years and not won a major trophy since 1927.

I says it hows I sees it, get those rose tinted glasses off and why the hell do you care who the bigger club is? Pride? Do me a favour.

Watford haven't won anything, they've only got three stands and their support is shit. The whole reason there is a topic about the high numbers they are taking to Peterborough is purely because they're a tin pot club and no one would expect that from them.

I can no longer take your opinions seriously.

We won one trophy in 1927. The majority of our seasons have been spent in the bottom two leagues. Our attendances used to be between 3-7k on average only a decade a go or so. Again, why does it matter to you? Watford are a bigger club than us at the moment, stadium aside.

Potentially we can be one of the top ten biggest clubs in the country. POTENTIALLY. Currently not even close, our support is plastic and greedy. What Watford lose in numbers they gain in a footballing culure, a lot of history and superb players have passed through that famous yellow jersey, one day I hope we can emulate it.

I don't care what you think of my opinions Jon, at least i'm not a biased populist who can't see the bigger picture.

I'm not saying that we're a big club. But just because Watford were 1st division runners up in 1983 and FA Cup runners up in 1984 (something we also were a few years ago), it doesn't make them bigger than us, or "MILES" as you say.

One of the most stupid statements I've seen on here, congratulations.
