Hudson's been your best player this season, it would be foolish for you not to be playing him regularly. Teams that tend to do well in their first season in the Premier League keep the core of the team and add three or four players to bring in some more quality like us, Norwich, West Ham and Southampton, QPR made the mistake of thinking players that got them in to the division weren't going to be good enough and ended up just bringing in too many players, the team spent a lot of time just gelling and it ended up being a team of individuals.
I've only seen your televised games this season, but from an outsiders point of view I think your team should be something like this next season.
Marshall, Hudson, New Signing, McNaughton, Taylor, New Signing, New Signing, Kim/Whittingham, Bellamy, Noone, Campbell/New SigningYou'll know a lot more than me but I think the core of your side (in particular your defence) is very strong and you just need to add a bit more quality with players who can keep hold of the ball a bit better and can be that bit more inventive to create chances against Premier League defences and possibly a bit more firepower up front.

Yes I agree to some extent and your right in what your saying, but Hudson great in this division, but I honestly dont believe Mcnaughton or Whitts are good enough for the Premier league.

Whitts will take the prem by storm for the first six months. We'll turn down mega bids then he'll tail off towards the summer. As per usual.

Fairplay he knows his stuff, secret Cardiff fan per chance?
But yes we certainly need to keep the core of the side, prime example with Swansea looking at someone like Leon Britton two seasons probably even Swansea fans would have laughed at him being a key figure in there side
4/5 maybe even 6 players will be needed though, certainly wingers and attacking players
Thu Apr 11, 2013 11:11 pm
we need to keep the core and obviously players need to be given a chance!... we definately need a new Right Back, a Target Man (if Malky keeps playing the current tactics), a natural right winger, a centre midfielder who'll put in a few tackles, and maybe a Left Back! obviously back up then needed of course!
Thu Apr 11, 2013 11:19 pm
Equally important as a few new players will be fans getting behind and STAYING behind malky and the team all season even when the inevitable bad results come and the spells where we pick up a point in 6 games..
Look at how bad we are now topping the league?

Players that could play now - Connolly, Barnett, Bellamy, Campbell. Whitts and Smith in good form.
Players that would need time to adjust - Mason, Mutch, Gunnarson, Turner, Noone, Maynard, Kim, Taylor, Nugent, Lappin.
Fri Apr 12, 2013 3:38 pm
Marshall
Hudson
Taylor
Gunnarsson
Whittingham
Mutch
Cowie
Bellamy
Maynard
Campbell
Kim
Connolly
Those comfortable the rest of our squad imo would struggle imo

Love all the football manager type "experts" on here

Impossible to say until we've seen a few games. Its entirely down to the players. Joe Allen for example was better in the Premier League in his first season than he was in the Championship. He was young yes but he made the step up and he also had more time on the ball. Was he respected too much? Maybe but at times you could argue he demanded that respect with consistent performances. Got to give credit where its due. Britton was older and made the step up and played better too so to write off Whittingham would be stupid.
I actually think Whittingham would struggle more against teams like Stoke etc. because they'd bully him and he doesn't like that type of play. The biggest test next season will be how the likes of Gunnarsson adapts. If he goes in as hard as he has this season we'll be giving away free kicks and pens every game because of all the play acting and diving in the Premier League. Even if the tackle is clean from Aron they will still give the free kick if its just a bit too physical/strong for their liking, its ridiculous.

With the players we have got my Prem line up would be.....
Marshall
New signing
New signing
Turner
Taylor
Bellamy
Mutch/New signing
Kim
New signing
Cambell/Maynard
New signing
Fri Apr 12, 2013 4:11 pm
the majority of the squad we have now would be good enough.
I expect rudy, helguson, smith velikonja and perhaps mcnaughton to be let go at the end of the season.
Fri Apr 12, 2013 4:17 pm
All of them....
You don't suddenly have to grow another limb to play in the premier league, don't believe the hype. The hype is why the TV money is there, it so out of the world that no premier league teams made the quarter finals of the premier European club competition and only one has made it to the secondary cup..
Leon Britton, Tait, Monk all played in league 2 relegation battle against Hull all those years ago, and Britton looks like an established PL player nowadays.
Although come to think of it Rudy, Mason & Ralls need time away to learn their profession as I can't see either getting much game time and time is ticking on.
Fri Apr 12, 2013 4:30 pm
Marshall, Hudson, Gunnar, Noone, Bellamy, Kim, Fraizer, Maynard... Possibly Mutch and Whitts if they up their game.
Mason, Rall, Turner and Nugent may one day be good enough, i'd like us to sign Barnett perminantly!
Fri Apr 12, 2013 6:33 pm
Kim, Bellamy, no one, whitts and Maynard.

Marshall and malkey not sure but close
Fri Apr 12, 2013 6:53 pm
Not many people mentioning Aron Gunarsson, I think he's the type of player who would do fine in the Prem, he was wanted by Sevilla last summer as well.
Marshall
New RB/Connolly, Hudson/Barnett, Turner/New CB, Taylor
New RM/Noone, Gunarsson/Mutch, Kim/Whitts, New LM/Noone/Bellamy
Bellamy/Campbell/Maynard, New Target Man
Realistically, that's 4/5 new signings for the first team
