Lead The Line - Poll

Thu Apr 11, 2013 3:55 pm

If Campbell is out against Forest who would yu want to lead the line?

Think HH has the experience and physical presence that we were missing at the start of the Barnsley game. Bring Joe on for him second half. Another option but with no height - Noone on the left and Bellamy in the middle.

Either way would like to see Noone start.

I would play Helguson just behind Mason personally

Mason or Helguson for me. Bellamy is much better off in midfield, and Rudy is just a donkey who is only useful for the last 10 minutes if we're struggling.

He is shit

He has no hold up play, no ball control, no finishing skills, no jumping abillity, poor heading ability.

Show me his positives other than being 6ft 4?

Hes got touch ted bundy would be proud of and looks like some kind deformed giraffe at times running about going up for headers, hes not a reg championship player even MM knows that or he would be starting weekly maybe the last 10mins if we are chasing a game while pumping it in the box thats about all hes worth imo.

I would personally put Cowie in the middle with Mutch and Gunnarsson, move Kim out wide and put Bellamy up front to run, chase and be a pain in the arse until he tires. Then put Mason on to capitalise on Bellamy tiring their defenders. I also feel we need energy in the middle and Cowie is just what we need in there right now.

I'd go with Bellars personally, I've never been to keen on seeing him play as a lone striker for obvious reasons, but if you do it right like we did for Wales then I think he can be effective. Bellars is a clever footballer with good movement, I think he'll be able to link up with the likes of Mutch and Kimbo. I'd also bring in Noone and Conway on the wings to give us a more direct outlet, failing that shift Kimbo out to the wing and bring Whitts in a more advanced role simliar to where Kimbo's been playing.

Isn't it great having these options. :D :D :ayatollah:

10 Votes for Rudy :o I'd be very surprised if Malkys goes with him, we're playing some nice stuff of late and that's partly down to playing the ball into feet, not lumping it to Rudy's bonce and lets be fair that's all he's good for.

With no height in the side why not play Rudy?
Helguson hasn't got the height and despite his excellent work rate for his age, he seems to of lost the knack of finding the net.
Mason is not a Lead the line kind of striker, but can play well off other forwards.
Smith is either very good or very bad.

With the finishing ability of Frazier and Nicky May out of use, we can only use what we have.
Did no one think of mentioning Ettien? Or does he even exist outside of the DVP?
