" Forget all the negativity "

Tue Apr 09, 2013 11:28 pm

Ive calmed down now after Barnsley's shock equaliser.

CARDIFF CITY lead Hull by 6pts and Watford by 9pts, 5 games left, 2 teams go up. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Forget all the negativity, yes we drew, but just remind yourselves where we are and NEXT UP IS FOREST HOME THIS SAT, 2,000 Forest fans coming, sell out crowd expected and WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE WITH 5 GAMES LEFT,

I wasn't even angry this evening just massively frustrated. I still think one more win will be enough.

9 point cushion and only 15 points to play.

Watfords form will have to massively improve and ours massively top compared to last 5 games.

The Blues are going up :ayatollah:

Time to perform in front of big crowds! I can see this match being exactly like the Palace game, despite being top we weren't seen as favourites, but we battled through and prevailed, even though we didn't lose tonight, it's all about bounce back ability, Malky will assess what went wrong tonight(which I think wasn't much bar the equaliser)

Annis we will go up as not even DJ could f**k it up from where we are.

Just a pity it's going to come on the back of the most boring, uninventive, unimaginative and boring dross I can remember in years.

we played them off the park last night.. thought we were very good at times. frustrating goal to concede, especially with 4 secs to go according to the ref! onwards to forest home!

i was slightly dissappointed with the subs made though...

kimbo was still running hard, finding spaces and tracking back.. we lost that energy when he went off. slowed the tempo down too much and resulted in us dropping too deep and inviting them on to us...

where was noone? should have come on for tommy smith in my opinion, would have kept us on the front foot with pace..

I was gutted like everyone else, but its one point towards promotion. I would prefer to be in our position rather than Watfords - Keep the faith. :malky:

Well said annis, and we're as good as 7 points in front of hull with our goal difference, the job will be done and dusted with a point at burnley, see you all there. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I still think well go up, but I think Forest will win sat. They try and press home advantages, our team sits back.

Rick when we scored last night the possession stat was 68 - 32 in our favour, then MM decides to "Park The Bus" . Just goes to show the extent of the change around in that game last night.

The Barnsley goal, how fortunate because of 2 deflections, was almost inevitable really.

That is my point Castleblue, & as many others have pointed out, as soon as we scored, we just sat back & allowed them to play.

That's negativity you just can't afford to forget!

Re: " Forget all the negativity "

The mentality changed as soon as we scored. All of a sudden we were protecting what we had by sitting deep. Personally I would have kept Kim Bo Kyung on the pitch but what's done is done. It's a shame but we are very much still on course to achieve the goal.

We may even draw again Saturday but we will win one of our next three games I'm convinced.

Patience and positivity required as the team are on the brink of history. BELIEVE :old:

It was inevitable
When we scored a well deserved goal it was almost if a switch was pressed and we started going deeper and deeper.Barnsley players were queing up for shooting opportunities by the end.
So disappointing after a very good performance against Blackburn and a spirited point at Watford
Still think we will make it due to Hull and Watford not being good enough to overrturn the points difference
Already buzzing for the Forest game mind :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Edging towards promotion

Cardiff City now need a maximum of seven points from their last five games to guarantee promotion
Providing results go their way, they could be promoted against Charlton next Tuesday
