Playing Ratings V Barnsley

(If someone has already done one post link below and ill merge)
I keep saying another point closer but its hard to not feel deflated after a late minute goal. Barnsley were ready for the taking as well, we just lacked that but of quality especially the final ball.

Marshall - 7 hard to judge.
McNaughton 7 - thought he did well.
Barnett 7 – A brave CB and defensively sound, an ideal loan for us.
Turner 7 - big strong and did well.
Taylor 7 - got forward well

Bellamy 4 - set pieces awful and passes over hit, poor.
Mutch 8 - thought he was excellent again, strong and composes and willing to run with the ball
Gunnarron 7 - solid, did well.
Kimbo 7 - replaced at the right time but such an asset to the team, excellent passing and movement.
Smith 5 - moments of qualities, just not enough again.
Mason 6 - I felt he did ok, lacked support.

Whittingham 5 - added a bit of passing but not much else, i didnt mind the sub as Kim looked tired.
Helguson - 3 how can he not finish that chance one on one with all the time in the world, it's harsh but I feel that moment cost us, also snatched at a later chance. Im not a Rudy fan but surely he was the obvious choice to come on?
Conway - 5 worked hard never going to change the game.

Ball boys
Is it me being petty or are they total idiots? Ive been saying this for months and it seems people are not starting to notice, ive seen Bellamy, Marshall and Gunnar have a go at them in recent weeks. Today also the some fans around me. My understanding was they “sacked” all the ball boys a few weeks ago to bring in new people? Academy players? Well whoever they are they are lazy sods and certainly wont make it under MM if thats the work ethic they have. Second half the ball boy in the ninian even got a cheer for doing his job.

Marshall spent the whole first half getting his own ball. It was shocking

Agree with most of that, however would rate Barnett higher. Thought him and Mutch were on a par performance wise tonight.

Thought some key players started to tire tonight after a big game on Saturday.

As for the Ball boys

I would give Mutch a 9 or even a 10 for that performance, it was the best all round midfield performance i have seen down the city for a long time. I thought Barnett deserved a 9 too

Taylor - 8

Mason - 6 - don't like him up front on his own

Helguson - 1 - never want to see him again I can't see how a professional striker on all that money can't finish that one on one I said it would cost and it did useless t**t

Whittingham - 5

Agree about mason, I'd love him to toughen up a bit but his movement was top notch.
