Here is the projected finish pts based on each teams form over the last 8 games.

So every club now has 5 games remaining and even after tonight we are still THREE whole wins ahead of Watford.
Our 8 game form guide took a bit of a hit, our projected pts dropped by 1.750 but we can afford them.
The earliest promotion moves onto Charlton at home next Tuesday. 4pts from Forest & Charlton would take us up if Watford lose one of their next two games. 6pts for us and Watford can't even afford a draw
Small Print : If anyone spots any mistakes let me know and hopefully I can get an administrator to replace my table.

9 points ahead of Watford and only 5 games to play

I'm just hoping we don't have to play for the title in Hull! It could be close couldn't it and tonight certainly hasn't helped.

They say the league table doesn't lie well what about the form tables then.
Our five games are followed by overall form position from last 6 games.
Forrest 2nd
Charlton 8th
Burnley 16th
Bolton 3rd
Hull 13th
Total wins for these sides over their last 6 games is 14
Watford has
Peterborough 10th
Millwall 15th
Blackburn 22nd
Leicester 21st
Leeds 22nd
Total wins for these sides over their last 6 games is 4
I know they say there is no such thing as an easy game but the teams we are playing have been winning a lot more games recently than Watford's. In fact more than three times as many!
Hull has
Ipswich 6th
Wolves 4th
Bristol 19th
Barnsley 7th
Cardiff 11th
Total wins from last 6 games for these sides is 13.
The teams Hull are playing have won 1 less than Cardiff's between them.
Based on current form Watford has by far the easiest run in, but Hulls is similar to ours.I haven't included draws or losses just wins to keep it simple, but it does give you a measure of how hard the runs is are. I think this shows we need to nail our games because it is not beyond the realms of possibility for Watford to have a clean sweep.

They might have easier games but they also have nine points less, and much more pressure, we will be promoted by next Tuesday

Also 4 of Watfords games are against teams who can still get relegated and 1 team looking for play off place. Irrelevant of current form I am not sure any of them will be easy and it is the championship after all where anything can happen.

The 9pts cushion is massive with 5 to go....this will see us over the line

5 draws for us will mean Hull have to win all their other games and Watford all 5 of their games !

We are playing Hull so a draw vs them could leave them accruing 13 points, so we'd finish with 85 and the would have 87, if Watford won their 5 we would miss out. 5 drawers does not guarantee us a top 2 spot.

we need more than draws, i think 6 pts will do it
Wed Apr 10, 2013 7:47 am
Quite right !
That is the point I am making even if we were to draw the remaining 5 games , they both would have to win ALL their other games !
Whilst it is possible they will win all their other games , I also believe we will win 2 of ours and so a draw at Hull will suffice !

I think at most we will only win one more game this season, but I can potentially see a couple of draws and defeats.
Pray Watford and hull don't win 4 games, which they are capable of doing.

What is the earliest game we could win the league. I know earliest we can go up is Charlton but not the title ?

It's also the Charlton game.
6pts from our next two games gives us 86pts.
It would need Hull to only get 1pt from their next two games and Watford to lose one of their next two games.
