Mackay eyes Norwich Talks
Malky Mackay says he's planning to speak to Norwich about extending Leon Barnett's loan spell with Cardiff until the end of the season.
The former West Brom defender has been at the Cardiff City Stadium since the middle of March after he was brought in to cover for Mark Hudson, who is out for the rest of the season. The 27-year-old has made four appearances for the Bluebirds since his arrival from Norwich, helping the Championship leaders keep three clean sheets in those games. With Cardiff two wins away from promotion to the Premier League, Mackay is keen to keep Barnett in Wales until the end of the campaign, with his current loan deal set to expire after Saturday's game with Nottingham Forest. "I keep in touch with Chris [Hughton, Norwich manager] weekly on it so that's something we'll discuss this week in the hope that we can keep him," Mackay said. The Cardiff boss also went on to say that Frazier Campbell would miss Tuesday's game with Barnsley with the knock he picked up in the win over Blackburn on Easter Monday.

Seeing as the guy is not getting game time at Norwich would make sense for them to let him stay - he wants to!

He has been superb and excellent addition at this time of the season.

He's slotted right in like he's been with us all season. Rare. I'd have him on a perm in a heartbeat. Make it so, Sir Malky Mackay.

I would be shocked if MM extended a loan.

Would be silly to lose him at this point.
