Bottom of the table relegation clash and they can't even sell out the top tier at Q.P.R, there can't be no more than 500 of them.

Rugby city, have to compete with Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool etc. Can't fault the fans who go week in week out for them though. If they return to the Championship I fear the worst for them

I agree if they go down I cant see them getting back up again any time soon. They dont have much income from fans and by rights they shoulve have gone down a couple of times but Martinez has performed miracles in recent years keeping them up!

I live in Wigan and photographed the Wigan v Liverpool match last season.
From memory the match took place in a Monday night and they were still selling tickets on evening of match - despite Liverpool being 30 minutes away.
Dave Whelan looked at having dual season tickets (football and rugby) but cat rules, allegedly, stopped this.
When the latics reached the Premiership there was a dip in support for the Warriors. However, after several seasons at the wrong end of the table, the support for the latics is now declining and the Warriors support increasing

Why? They existed before they were in the premiership and they will should they leave it!
Some think Premiership is the be all & end all obviously!

No the support, a lot of fans go for the big teams, not really a football hardcore set of supporters

A drop in support - happens at every club with relegation. Hardly the "worst" thing to happen to a football club.

How many would we get if Pontypridd,Bridgend and Newport had successful clubs ? The fans who support them are passionate and loyal as there are many other local distractions.
