can I just ask why some fans cry all over facebook etc when noone is not is not in the line up?? I am a fan of his is pace is scary at times but I cant see why fans go nuts when he doesn't make starting line up because his defensive work aint the best and his final ball at times is abit dodgy but he has improved on that lately to be fair to him but yet everytime team is announced on facebook groups everyone goes nuts about it, Conway have deserved his place on the wings and bellers will probs guarantee to play on the other side.

Felt Conway was average t best yesterday & fully expect to see Noone start at home on Tuesday.

Noone's too lightweight. Gets pushed off the ball far too easily.

We would have won yesterday's game if Noone played a part, Watford fans dont rate Briggs, Briggs was awful, Noone's pace and trickery would have left Briggs for dead. Conway dwells too much on the ball, doesn't do the simple things right

He's also a far better attacking option, which I hope is exploited on Tuesday evening.

You say that but when smith came on we looked very vulnerable down their left hand side. Conway gives so much defensively it morw than makes up for his lack of flair going forward, especially in a game like yesterday

We did fine without him at home to Blackburn.

im probably a bit biased towards Conway because him and gunnarson are my favourite players in the team, Conway did have a average game yday to be fair but i think his defensive work have been crucial especially with taylor behind him who struggles abit on defensive side and if noone played yday it could of exposed taylor abit more often on watfords counter attacks, i see noone will be bigger part to play next season though if he works on defensive side and his final ball sometimes he goes full pelt he looses control of the ball aswell but he is exciting to watch ill give that

I disagree. If Noone played yesterday, I think we would have lost the game. If Bellamy is on one wing, I think you have to have Conway on the other wing, especially away from home as Conway is our only natural winger who will guarantee putting in a honest 100% shift and have the engine to do the defensive tracking Noone can't do.

Conway puts in a shift, thought he was poor yesterday though.
No reason he couldn't start at home even with Bellamy wide.
I like Noone, not sure he will make the step up tho.

Spot on.

So because we didn't play him against Blackburn, we don't ever need him again?!

I think Conway is average full stop. Would much rather see Noone out wide IMO.

Tell me where I said that?
Conway puts in a shift and gets back, Noone doesn't, and in all honesty he is very hit and miss on getting a decent performance and more often than not he is poor and offers very little. Also as I've already said he is too weak/lightweight and is therefore pushed off the ball very easily and he is too predictable. All he does is cut inside and rarely gets his cross in, and when he does it is a rather poor ball.
Sun Apr 07, 2013 2:23 pm
Gives the ball away far too easily and concedes a lot of silly free kicks. I'll be very surprised if he's anywhere near our starting XI next season when we're in the Premiership.
Sun Apr 07, 2013 2:29 pm
noone is great for when we play counter attacking football but just lacks defensive side of his position and brighton fans well documented this but when he is on form by god he is on form!
Sun Apr 07, 2013 2:30 pm
Do think he should be played on the correct wing though.

I agree he should be on the left as he was at the beginning of the season, but that doesn't excuse the silly free-kicks he gives away and also the ease with which opposition midfield players go past him. I'm not a particular fan of Conway, but the way he and Bellamy put themselves about yesterday illustrates what MM wants from his wide midfield players.

Noone on his day is fantastic. Unfortunately he hasn't had many of these days for us and certainly not played well for ages. Unless its an injury or resting players I can't see how or why noone would start on tues
Sun Apr 07, 2013 3:09 pm
Dont think anyone deserves to be dropped for noone at this moment in time
I can see him playing a part on tues as barnsley will surely come to not lose the game and put men behind the ball

Don't remember any team coming to the CCS with the aim of losing the game...

A bit of a flat track bully, looks a world beater on his day but lazy and awful on his bad days.
Conway varies from average to good. With our work ethic I know which one Malky chooses.
Sun Apr 07, 2013 4:53 pm
His defensive work yesterday was fantastic.
It is exactly what was needed to nullify Watfords attacking threat.
I think that Noone will start instead of Bellamy Tuesday to give him a rest.
