Would you sell ?

God no, he'll be suited to the Prem. A lot like Leon Britton

Yes. He's got to an age where he can't adapt to new surroundings and I feel he'll really get caught out in the Premier League. Thing is no one will bid for him.

If we had an offer of 3 million plus for him, I would sell. He has shown his limitations this season and will not handle the pace of the Premiership. If selling Whitts, considering his age would allow us to bring in another young Jordon Mutch style of player, that would do me. We need a solid midfield full of energy and battling qualities to get results over superior teams in the Premiership and Whittingham simply isn't the player we need in our centre midfield next season.

no chance he will be suited to the prem because its much slower paced and he will have time for his deadly passing, but malkys got to play him in his best position and stop playing him so deep! he will be crucial in the prem next season if we get there

The Prem is slower paced? Really? There aren't any Ramires' in the Championship. Imagine Whittingham trying to stick with Ramires' box to box runs, he would never live with him!

yes it is slower paced than championship football you get a lot more time on the ball, no i doubt he could stick with ramires btw which one Chelsea or Southampton? if you mean Chelsea ramires well he plays for a top team and we are not a top team

Yes I meant Chelsea's Ramires. I understand what you mean with the fact you get a bit more time on the ball as players stand off you a bit more in the Premiership, but I think the pace when teams put passing moves together with forward runners is far superior to the Championship.

whys brownie making polls about something he dont give a shit about

Why do you suggest we sell Whitts every transfer window?
I can remember a thread for at least the last 3 of them.
Every time we sign a midfielder you start a thread saying "OMG WHITTS REPLACEMENT?!".
What did Whitts do to you?

Why sell one of our best players?
Sun Apr 07, 2013 2:53 pm
Is this a serious thread or..?

Going to need our best players in the Prem. If we sold him even for 3/4 mill we wouldnt be able to get a replacement of equal quality.
