FINAL LEAGUE TABLE Based on 8 Game Current Form (06/04/2013)

Sat Apr 06, 2013 9:49 pm

Here is the projected finish pts based on each teams form over the last 8 games.

image.jpg

As was expected everyone in the play off positions had a drop in their 8 game form. The four clubs replaced wins with draws. In fact 6 of the top 7 drew. I would say only one of those teams is happy tonight. :ayatollah:

Forest had a major drop of 2.75 in their predicted pts total closely followed by Watford (2pts). It now means that Forest cannot catch us, hence they join the greyed out teams. :ayatollah:

Our predicted final pts are now 9.5pts more than Watford on current form. :ayatollah:

We now need 8pts to guarantee promotion, however the earliest we can get promoted is next Saturday. A win against Barnsley & Forest gives us 85pts. If Watford then fail to win away at Peterborough they cannot catch us. :ayatollah:

I predicted Burnley away would be the day we got promoted & become champions, but now I believe promotion may come when we play Charlton as predicted by Eddie May's son. The game is between Eddie's two favourite teams and it will be exactly a year since his death. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I know it doesn't matter but if palace don't turn their form around Mr Holloway may end up out of the play offs. Bolton have snuck into the top six based on form (the table above says they are currently 9th, I know they are 8th but I'm too tired to change it.

Finally I would just like to say ........... Leeds United, say no more.

Small Print : If anyone spots any mistakes let me know and hopefully I can get an administrator to replace my table.

Great stats :ayatollah:

Average to beat third in this league Is about 81 points. Mid 80's generally always gets you promoted.

Watford can get 15 max, we have 8 so need 8 more. If they get 1 draw that's 6 points. Two wins does it for me then wait. :ayatollah:

Lowest we can finish is fourth place, a win on Tuesday and we can only finish third :ayatollah:

Watford will finish on 82. Another win and a draw and we've done it in my opinion.

11 points from 5 they'll get in my opinion which is 3 wins and 2 draws.

I do look at their fixtures and think they have a few very difficult fixtures.

Peterborough away next Saturday while boro still need pts for survival. Also a rather tasty London derby against Millwall again away. Followed by Blackburn & Leicester who, when they play, will still be fighting for pts.

They were produced in order to get very nervous City fans a little more relaxed. :D

If all they have done is show that we are a lot closer than some believed and that 8pts are required but will NOT be needed then my job is done. :ayatollah:

Tonight's update of this table has already been created three times for the three outcomes. They have been stuck on the inter webs cloud ready for attaching to one of three posts that I have held in draft format on this message board.

The correct table will be posted as we leave the CCS.

Now THAT my friends is what is commonly known in the normal world as, VERY, VERY, SAD.

No.

Watford could still draw level on points with 4 wins. We have to assume that they would also have a better goals difference with those wins against our 4 losses.

But who are we kidding this scenario is not happening. :malky:

So am I right in thinking a win tonight and a win on Saturday, in addition to a loss for Watford would mean confirmed promotion? I know it's unlikely but what the hell :D

It's even better than that.....

We win tonight and win on Saturday then Watford can't even afford to DRAW at Peterborough. :ayatollah:
