This has been a remarkable season in the history of our club and we are nearing the end of it.

At the start of the season I would never have predicted that we would be in this strong position with an eight-point lead over the team in third, and with a game in hand.

I don't think he was brave. It was necessary.

Brave would have been doing it a month ago, when it was what fans were crying out for.

I understand what Carl is saying here because as fans it does cross your mind that when big changes are made will the incoming players give as much as the players they replace.

Over the last couple of years we have experienced, all to painfully at times, that "Fringe" players have not always given thier best.

But under MM this senario has never been displayed and, in my opinon, it goes to show the level of togetherness that MM has instilled in this squad. In terms of man management previous managers can only look on in envy at how this squad perform for the manager.

This is the reason we are in this fantastic position, an excellent young manager, modern methods, big investment and a never give up attitude.

We are on the very edge of promotion and whatever happens today with this manager and this squad we will get over the line. Of that I have no doubt.

One small point Carl Peter Whittingham has not been ever present this season. ;)
