Saturday is arguably our biggest game of the season to date. We all know things haven’t gone our way the last few games; there have been growing tensions on social media, in the stands towards the management etc – but this isn’t the Palace way and we hope this will change, starting this Saturday.

Forgetting people’s opinions on the management, recent performances etc; it’s important to remember that the bond between the players and supporters has been strong for the whole season (and previous seasons) as seen by the players celebrating with fans after goals on numerous occasions. Both the players and supporters have been through testing times this season and have remained loyal to each other.

Normally for such games we would put on a positive card/flag display for the players to run out to; however we want to try something a little different on Saturday. We are going to pack out the front part of our section in Block B from 2.15 onwards, right behind where the players warm up, and offer our vocal support for the whole warm up (Individual player chants, have flags going and let the lads know we are behind them) like seen in previous big away games (Watford away etc).

What we ask is for Palace fans to get in the ground early to get involved by backing the chants during the warm up (whether you are in Block B or anywhere else in the stands). It will mean having a couple less beers but it will be a great way of installing some much needed confidence and belief into the players, and being family day it will be good for the kids to see what real Palace support is about.

Good Idea but cant see it happening. Most of our lot are in the pub until 10 mins before kick off!

Wouldn't happen at any of our home games, everyone usually walks up to their seat just before kick off, which is why we never get any chants going before the game (obviously excluding Hey Jude and Men Of Harlech which is always played).

Because we don't have 'individual player chants' about Bellamy, McNaughton, Gunnarsson etc? It doesn't say they are getting a hymn sheet printed in the program to be sung in a certain sequence, just trying to get people into the ground a bit earlier to give the players a lift while they are warming up. What's the matter with that? Maybe we should try getting behind the team for a change. Just a thought.

Its the whole poncey way its said, footballs a laugh, the whole point of getting a chant going is the emotion and atmoshpere it creates, this prick sounds like he organises chant practice in his mothers livingroom every other tuesday after hollyoaks.

we DO NOT need to be copying the laughing stock of football supporters that are crystal palace.

you'll be suggesting "cheer placards" next and big "whoop whoop" flags

To be fair not many people will go the stadium early when the beer is so expensive and tastes like piss

I'm still a bit confused how giving your team support and getting behind the players would make us the laughing stock of football. People on here are so quick to have a whinge and moan about the lack of atmosphere at the CCS yet when someone makes a suggestion, it gets shot down straight away. Just can't win. Maybe your right, maybe we should stop all singing at the ground and avoid being the laughing stock of football. We could create an intimidating silence.
