Not only us with a poor atmosphere

It seems that even the most plastic club in the world are suffering of a lack of atmosphere

Notice how it mentions in the article that United fans in the Stretford End (equivalent to our Canton Stand) think they're singing loudly but fans in other parts of the ground can't hear them that much.

It's exactly like that in our ground, I sit in the Ninian Stand next to the away section and you can hardly hear the Canton most of the time.

The acoustics is definitely the problem in our stadium. Carl mentioned that we'll be filling in the big gaps with extra seats once we're promoted to the Premier League so hopefully that will keep the sound in.

I think the structure of the roof doesn't help. The roof is high up from the stands and any noise generated seems to just escape. Adding a second tier and enclose the roof will keep some noise in the stadia :ayatollah:

just goes to show what a club full of plastics can do, they destroy the atmosphere, they only go for big games and names

Thought Old Trafford was one of the better atmospheres when I went there last season. The Emirates is dire, Stamford Bridge wasn't great, Anfield was fairly poor.

Strangely, you get a better atmosphere at places like Norwich, West Brom, Fulham etc. Rather than the big clubs, and it probably is something to do with too many day trippers having a day out at the big clubs whereas the smaller clubs attract only the proper supporters? Spurs was quite good though?

Spurs are a great club to follow to be honest, they have a good balance of the old fashioned fan and the new ones, great atmosphere, goose bumps when 'Oh When The Spurs Go Marching in' is sung :ayatollah:

The acoustics is nonsense. Scottish and Belgium fans managed to create a great atmosphere. I sit in the Ninian dead on between the Canton and the away fans. I can hear the Canton on occasion but the singing tends to die down after ten minutes and it's silence the rest of the game.

Last season I remember a handful of Watford fans outsang our whole stadium, embarrassing to say the least. It's the new type of fan and the younger generations for sure.

It's definitely the acoustics. I've sat in both parts of the ground.

What we need is a conductor, whether it be a drum or someone with a microphone or what not to lead, so we can have a good rhythm, we give up too easily

Agreed, our songs last about 10 seconds these days as it seems like everyone's trying to see who can sing and clap the fastest.

Conductor!!! back in the day when we all wore flares, we had leaders usually some hard looking b*stard who'd start the singing.
