Will you stick together when they look at the CCTV and point who who was involved and ban him for three games, will you stay outside with him as a show of solidarity.
The reason the stewards avoid confrontation is because they don't need to take any, the job is done from the control room, you don't get away with much now days and the do what we want chant is right, you can do what you want, as long as you are prepared to suffer the consequences.

I'm all for standing in certain areas but where it isn't 'allowed' people need to remember that the club can remotely turn off your season ticket and ban you from attending. I'm told this will be enforced quite rigidly next season (Sunderland did a similar thing)

Agreed.
Ignoring the right or wrongs of standing for now (even though pretty much all of the back half of 118/117 stand and the guy certainly wasn't the only person standing at the time), that moment was the first time since the rebrand I actually felt one of the things I used to love about city fans - how we always used to stick together.JonCCFC wrote:I'll be in 106, but if anyone told me to sit down I'd kindly tell them to f**k off
Another Ninian exile going to be in 106 then. I shall see you there!

In my opinion good stewarding snd strengthens the good relationship we have built with the stewards in that area

That's excellent news, if true - the club have been far too lenient on persistent standers, in my view - it's a shame someone wouldn't bring in a zero tolerance policy for standing when we go away!

Why didn't they have a chat with everyone else who was standing in the block then?
That is what wound people up. Not just that they were having a go at him - but because they were picking on one individual.
And that is ignoring how pointless the whole thing is anyway. The stewards know full well that as soon as they disappear then we all stand back up, so much so its a bit of a joke (one of them doesn't even bother saying sit down anymore, he just says "just a few minutes lads"). It is just pathetic really.

Ive jst got a feeling nxt year the club will go down the route of studying CCTV and issuing letters to thos who stand.
I dont want that, but thats what i think will happen
