true, just think we should be aiming for better.

Just saying, but he's a step up from every defender we have except Hudson.
He's like a bigger, faster and better version of Turner.

I'd sign him up. He may not be a first team player if we promoted but he's a good player to have on the bench

I think he could step up and do a job next season judging by his performances i doubt he would cost much either..

What is vital I think is that we get his loan extended to the end of the season.
Have I missed that bit of news or is his loan spell still due to expire around the time of the Forest game?

I would pay 300k for barnett I know hudson has had a good season but we've took some pastings over the last few seasons against top sides
look how many shots liverpool had against us in the carling cup final - if it were a few inches either side it could of been 10-0
defensively we are a long way behind even the likes of norwich city in the prem. who have had to loan us two of there fringe players

I spoke to him after the game yesterday, asked him if he was enjoying it here, "hell yeah" he said. I asked would he like to be here next season, he said he would but its not up to me, just have to wait and see.

Surely our goal would still have counted?

What a superb job this lads done since he came here
Hardly had a sniff at norwich and was expected to fill the position left by our captain and pretty much player of the last 2 seasons mark hudson
If we go on to secure promotion Barnett will well and truly have played his part
take my hat off to him

Had an excellent game against Blackburn. Dealt with everything thrown at him and good distribution.

He's nowhere near as big as Turner.

Looked really solid at the back

Please don't turn on him if he makes a mistake. It wouldn't surprise me if he makes a couple of errors as he isn't great on the ball and that's why we have him from Norwich. I've seen him play a ball across his own goal at Sheffield Wednesday to give their striker a free run on goal and he played an attempted back pass straight out for a corner right at the beginning of the Peterborough game.
However, the rest of Barnett's game looks pretty faultless. He is a hell of an athlete, strong, pacey, has a hell of a leap and he's already shown he will battle to the death for us. We have not yet conceded a goal in open play since Barnett's arrival and we have two clean sheets in Barnett's first 3 games. I wouldn't trust Barnett as a long term, permanent signing at Premiership level, but he has been brought in to do a job until the end of the season and at this level, he is a more than adequate addition.
If Barnett keeps his game simple when in possession, I think he will be a superb loan signing as his defensive capabilities are fantastic. Hopefully, he won't make any glaring mistakes but if he does, I think it's important we all support him, not get on his back. The same with every other player for our run in.

Also nowhere near as good. I agreee - looked very sharp, and definitely agree would be good to sign him, but personally, Ithink Turner is one of the most under-rated players we have. IMO, Turner is one of the best defenders I have seen for Cardiff. A lot of his work goes unnoticed, perhaps because people don't watch him that closely. The way he just takes the ball off players and makes it look so easy is something to behold
