Never forget one of the Aberdare boys Ian Willams (speedy gonzalez, to slow to catch a cold) was standing with us in his own world and didn't notice us all disappear through this gate, and he had to pay at the turnstile, it was funny as f**k seeing the turnstile bloke ready for seven hundred of us and then only taking the money off one fan till the next load arrived later.

I think he'd be more worried about the seven hundred admission fees he missed out on, that would have bought him at least four pairs of those specs he used to wear.

Yeh, it would have been early eighties, and it was an open section, when I go to the new stadium at Vicarage road I can't work out where it was, but I am almost senile to be honest.

Gates opened at Cheltenham like that aswell but did'nt gain anything from it as already had ticket, best for me was went to Gillingham stayed in pub so kept ticket and used it the following season.
