". THE DOOR IS OPENING. "

The door to the Premier League is opening and we are about to walk through and take our place in the top flight for the first time in 50 years.

We reached a milestone today becoming the first team to secure a play off spot and in years gone by we would be celebrating the fact but we know we have it us to get automatic and hopefully the title. :ayatollah:

That first half performance was the most one sided I have witnessed for a long time, Malky was brave in his selections today by bringing in both Mutch and Kimbo and I think they both had superb first half performances and for me Kimbo was man of the match.

That first 45 minutes was sheer domination by City and it was the most relaxed I felt watching the Bluebirds for some time.

The home attendance was very good as well, with a crowd of 24327 it looked like Blackburn had around 350-400 there.

It looks like we will gain promotion during one of the 3 home games we play on the bounce against Barnsley, Forest and Charlton. I am really looking forward to our game against Watford next week and will watch the Watford v Hull game tomorrow hoping that Hull beat them to further strengthen our position for automatic promotion.

We are going up :ayatollah:

Yes it certainly is Carl, if watford fail to win against hull then we will be promoted 100% if we win our next 2 games, is that game live tomorrow then?

I really enjoyed the game, Campbell could have had a hat rick by half time, scoring one and having one cleared of the lien and hitting the post :ayatollah:

Superb team selection by Malky and nice to see Much getting back to his best at last :malky:

I think all most city fans will be hoping for a Hull win tomorrow. Come on you tigers.

Great performance from City. We dominated from start to finish. Blackburn's game plan was to stop us attacking by fair means or foul. Had the ref booked one of the early challenges it might have been different. I thought Kim and Mutch were awesome and every single player gave a good performance.

Its about time Malky abandoned his safety first, negative football and gave Kimbo, Mutch and later Mason a game. The difference was there for all to see today. Please Malky don't go back to the darkside against Watford :?

Couldn't agree more and we should attack every team like that. Also thought the closing down by the forwards was first rate but like already mentioned Kimbo stole the show.

Hoping we go up next Tuesday.

We need three things for that to happen:

- Watford fail to win tomorrow
- We win at Watford
- We beat Barnsley

I agree with most things that Carl has said , all but one thing, I dont think Malky was Brave, I think he had to do something that should have been done a good few Games ago. For some time now our Midfield has been shit. No inspiration & no drive, today we could all see the difference. And for them that wanted Malky to sort out his Midfield many games ago today seen what we wanted to see Weeks ago. Was Malky Brave No! he did what a lot of us would have done weeks back.

If Jordon Mutch had been fit he would have played in most games this season. He has been a big miss. I am sure Malky intended him to be a key part of the midfield and privately would say he has not been able to play his most effective combination for this reason.

I think you're right and based on what we saw yesterday he's been a bigger miss than perhaps we appreciated. Could be like a new signing

Blackburn were dreadful. They were equally so when we did them in the Carling Cup last season but even worse now. No excuse with some of their players, Murphy was asleep all afternoon. Why was Rhodes on the bench?

City were awesome though, and no team would have lived with them. Noone would have had a field day if he had been given the nod instead of a lacklustre, pedestrian Conway.
