Please help "The India White Fund"

Sun Mar 31, 2013 10:56 am

We are a family of Bluebirds and some of you may know is from Rhondda
Eddie, my brother10:4 and his boy Cooley.

Recently we had the terrible news about 10:4s grandaughter India.
India White lives in Cwmparc in the Rhondda valleys, she is 16 months old & has a rare illness named Aplastic Anaemia, she needs weekly blood transfussions & requires a bone marrow transplant.

We have been humbled by help and effort of people to raise money to support the family and the cancer care fund and loads of people around south wales have already gone and give blood, platelets and marrow in last few months.
She has to have constant care and lives now in isolation at hospital in Bristol while having chemo and other operations/tests and an infection could by devastating.
Mike Davies (aka The Monk)will attempt to make it on foot from Ystrad Rhondda to Llandudno (approx 160 miles) in 4 days starting on April 1st.

Please donate & help India & her parents cover the additional costs they have incurred since being diagnosed in January.

I'm travelling up to North Wales to watch Ystrad Rhondda play there on Sat. I know all the boys on the coach will be having a whip-round to support this fund. Hope everything works out ok for the little girl, 10 4 [ Paul Jones ] is a life long Cardiff fan, and his blue with yellow and white stripes mini car was a classic back in the day around the Rhondda.

Keep us updated mate. I went down the park and dare to give blood and see if i could be a bone marrow match, and i was amazed how many people responded. The hall was full, the corridor and the foyer and i was queuing out in the street! Amazing response and i hope and pray the little one accepts the bone marrow transplant

Thank you all ever so much.

Mike ran from Ystrad Rhondda over 180 miles in 4 days.
He even helped pull sheep out of the snow by Machynlleth and put up with old Len's farting and snoring when trying to rest in the nights!
The hotels on night 3 -did have a bath through, so Mike could sort out his blisters.
The donations have been fantastic.

India started he intensive treatment this week. including all the nasty bits that go with chemo etc up in Bristol.
Mother Shelley and Dad Ryan are by her side and the hospital are looking after them.
Hope Ryan and shelley get some rest in now if they can- they havent been sleeping tidy for ages and been on pins with bombshell after bomshell.
Doc says - theyt are in one of the best hospitals in UK for this - so if she can fight this - she will be in good hands.
There will be a bit of a battle on now in little India's body for a few weeks and we wont know if the operation has been successful for a short while yet.

Mike had a well earned pint last night up with the goggs and a few rhondda boys in llandudno and they will be in Colwyn Bay today and looking forward to the match and grand national!

A long journey yet for India and the family - but support is heart warming

Thank you all
