A forum for all things Cardiff City

Before I get shot down I'm not moaning because we lost.
I went up yesterday and had a great day despite the defeat and thought we were poor again and deserved to pick up nothing (just my opinion).
Obviously I'm proud of where we are in the league and we are there because we are the most consistent team in the division.
I'm more of a Malky fan than Jones but lately the way the team is set up to play and the lack of plan B makes me think are they that much different in terms of technical ability and not attitude towards us?
I know we have moved on since Jones but do you think he could of got us promotion with this team?
Also let's take it to Blackburn play football and attack the living daylight out of them. Noone, Beallamy and Kim for Whitts please.

Problem is Malky has far greater resources than Jones, yet Kim and Noone do not get a kick.

Both single minded and confident enough in their own beliefs not to deviate.
Malky has favourites as did Jones
The only difference is malky is not as closed to the media (and rightly so) than Jones.
Jones is like an international manager- only concerned with today. Malky is more like a youth team manager always looking to tomorrow.
If we do the job this season I feel it is not beyond the realms of possibility we do not start the season with malky. Will Tan trust malky with one of the biggest franchisees in the world ?

Malky is a better manager of media and people than Jones.
Thats where the plus points end for me. At least Jones teams got at the oppisition, especially at home.
Ive never been so bored watching City under Malky. More excitement under Kenny Hibbit.

Well they both have shite tactics incapable of doing more than a long ball under pressure.

Problem is Cardiff have just completley lost any fear factor. Double done by team that stand a massive chance of going down. Malky should have sent a message yesterday that were going to wrap this league up. But just went boring and lost out.

Jones had the best team ever with Bellers first time round to name just 1, but he blew it, will Malky ????????

Malky is beginning to have his favorites like Whittingham and Cowie.

Even though Cowie is what we've been missing for ages? Whittingham I agree with but Cowie is an engine in the center of Midfield, dictates the play well

Every single manager has favourites. Its not exclusive to Malky

I can't agree with any positive comments about Cowie. I cringe everytime he's in the starting line up. How can he play in central midfield without being able to tackle. You only have to watch him for a few minutes to realise he's like a sheepdog that's still in training. By that I mean he's one of those players that appears to be doing lots of running but he never gets to opponents in time to make a tackle it. If you haven't yet spotted that then just watch him next time he plays. He seems to fool lots of supporters. Mo Farah can run a bit but I wouldn't want him in our midfield either. Two tackles per match and lots of chasing down but getting there late doesn't make for decent central midfield player. As for yesterday he had a chance to clear the ball seconds before he gave away the penalty. For me he's one of malky's favourites that just doesn't do it for me.
I know Whittingham hasn't been playing well just lately but at least he has the ability to pick a killer pass when he's on form. Cowies isn't capable of that.
My fear is that the manager will stick with Cowie in the middle and although I'm one of those that think we will go up I fear sticking with a 'pretend' tackler in midfield is more likely than anything to stop us.

The only issue with Malky is how negative he is at teams away.
Since he defended Whittingham about his poor performances I can't take him serious that much.

Jones v Malky.......any difference?
No difference as there both managers but only one had real money to spend on players when managers win things thats when there remembered
