KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

Sat Mar 30, 2013 7:02 pm

Ok so we lost today and it is disappointing but at the end of the day we are going up and everyone knows it.

The game was a tight affair with both teams having chances but even at 1-0, I along with others felt that Peterborough were always in the game. The first penalty they got was stone wall but from where we stood the second looked dubious to say the least.

At the end I thought Mason and Rudy had both equalised but it wasn't to be.

All in all a good trip and a great laugh coming home on the fun bus, especially everyone doing the Harlem Shake on the side of the A14.

Who runs these trips ? :D

Fair point Carl but I was totally expecting to get done today which isn't very encouraging considering our league position! Maybe we are shitting ourselves but you can't blame us , tbf we are not exactly setting the league alight with our performances of late and you have to admit we have a very tough run in?

Re: KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

We need 4 wins. You can write off Watford and Hull away as we aren't good enough to avoid getting beaten. That leaves 6 games to get 4 wins. Look at the games we have left and tell me where the 4 wins will come from? Our form is woeful, we create nothing and concede. We have won 1 out of the last 5 home games. We will not win on Monday.

Carl, no offence but you're way too premature (in a football sense only!).

I'm praying I'm wrong.

We are going to need a new team if we reach the promised land or we will be an embarrassment in that division!

Very true, & its all down to Malky. One fact is true though, after our remaining eight games, MM will either go down in history as the best manager since Bill Jones, or the biggest bottler since Coca-Cola.

I don't think MM will get a third chance at City,,,infact, i don't think WE will get a better chance ever again! :(

Totally agree, although not sure we are bottling it. I think we've been worked out and we have too many players out of form. Yet MM won't change it and we didn't strengthen in key areas in January. Yes we got Campbell, but who's creating chances for him?

How we play & who we signed ( or didn't) is all down to Malky, there's no doubt about that.

I don't dig this Malky's a young & developing manager stuff, he's old & experienced enough to know the score. Either that, or he's punching above his weight!

I love his passion and professionalism and we've done great to be on this position. But the signs have been there for months now that our form was wobbling yet he seems intent of keeping it as is. Lets hope his belief proves to be right as I'm convinced we will fall away

Leaders Cardiff, meanwhile, need 14 points from their remaining eight games to secure promotion to the Premier League and must regroup for Monday's clash at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Of course, but even then will we get enough. I can see us going into the Hull game needing something to secure top 2 and coming up short

i agree with what you say carl and i have to get this off my chest if it wasnt for your spectacular pieces in the paper i wouldnt buy it anymore what with the wag spending my pension on a glorified airplane set. the bastards live a life of glory these days and wouldnt know what had hit them if they lived when we had real planes built for a true purpose to defend these isles. ungrateful fuckers

Carl you are spot on, we are all but promoted. We wouldn't have these negative nancy types in the war. I'm a very old man and I may not have many years left to watch the mighty Cardiff but I'm sure in my colostomy bag that promotion is nailed on.

Well said Carl yesterday was nothing more than the curse of London Road and everyone of the 8 teams we are due to play know one thing for certain, they will have a game on thier hands.

At the end of the day our result was not as bad as Palace getting thrashed at home or Watford losing 2 points in the last few seconds. 83 or more points will see us across the line, it may even be fewer, and we WILL get them.

The good thing about the result yesterday, if there is a positive, is that the manager and team feel hard done by. Maybe a little bit of anger will be catalyst to drive us on and clinch not only promotion but the Championship.

And of course it now means we will likely clinch promotion during the 3 home games of Barnsley, Forest and Charlton.

Get ready for the party at the end of one of those games.
