I used to have a Raleigh Chopper back in the late '70's. They called it a Chopper as it was styled on a chopper bike. I reckon the real reason it was called a "Chopper" is that when you braked hard, you'd slip off the stupid seat and ruin your "Chopper" on the 3 speed gear stick. f*cking agony.
