This is a great opportunity for our various fans` groups to proudly display the flags of the area or group they represent and bring some match-day colour to the ground as part of improving the match-day atmosphere. So dig out those flags and bring them along to all the remaining home games (with some gaffer tape to fix them to the walls etc at the back of the stands)

Carl, thats good news, but did not understand your comment "flags of any colour will be welcomed into the ground " ! why wouldnt flags of any colour be welcomed ? they always have been, as they are all over the world at every club in the world, or have our club got something against certain colours ???![]()

That`s not Carl`s comment , its Wayne Nash`s comment. Carl is just (very kindly to bring it to the attention of as many people as possible) quoting (part of)a report from the Trust website of the result of some meetings between myself , Wayne and Nic Heslop , the club`s Commercial Manager.
I wanted to clarify that no fan would be turned away or refused permission to display his/her flag if it was blue or had "bluebirds" written on it - that clarification was given and quoted. Clearly , if someone turned up with a flag that said "f*ck off Tan"or similar as an attempt at a protest it wouldn`t be allowed (rightly so) as being offensive.
Hope this helps.

The highlighted bit is what worries me. For the rest of the season? Does that mean it will change by next season and blue will be forbidden or frowned upon?

That will depend on advertising space I've been told; depending what division we are in there maybe an increase in advertising which the sponsors don't take kindly to having flags draped over their signs. There maybe only limited space for a few flags to be draped around the place, but they will still be allowed in if there is room.
In fairness to the club and Wayne Nash he is looking at areas where they maybe able to locate flags and also about making space for the regular flags bearers he mentioned two in particular that are always flown at most home games
