Firstly Canton community police have taken temporary residence in the stadium whilst their station is undergoing a refurb, the force is paying rent to the club for use of part of the stadium, I suppose it makes a difference that we are taking in prisoners as opposed to normally taking them out![]()
The stadium will host the 2014 UEFA Super cup and one of the conditions of staging the event is that both dressing rooms are to be exactly the same, for those who don't know our home dressing room was decked out similar to that of the changing rooms at Wembley and from next season the away dressing room will have the same design because of the Super cup being held there.
When Vincent Tan flies in to watch a home game he has in the past stayed at hotels in the City before heading back to Malaysia but that will not be the case any longer, the stadium will soon house an apartment for VT to stay in whilst he is in Cardiff.
The club has sought prices from suppliers in Germany and Australia for replacing the stadium seats and have been quoted a cost of £1.2m to replace them all, I think you can guess the reason for the change and what colour that has been requested, I do not know if the order has been placed or what time frames have been specified, only that a quote has been given.
The club had staff from the Premier League at the stadium today, don't shoot the messenger before anyone gets carried away, it is regarding issues like away allocation, ticketing prices etc, at present if a stadium capacity is less than 30,000 then you are expected to give 10% for the visiting support, if over 30,000 capacity then a minimum of 3000 must be allocated.
Our club is seeking to give the away supporters next season, should we be promoted, 2,400 tickets which will mean we won't have to move the segregation lines and also giving the maximum number of tickets to City fans, we probably won't find out a couple of weeks if our wish has been granted but if we get the go-ahead it is a positive move by the club to look after our fans.
On the footballing side, I read today that the club hope to extend the loan signing of Leon Barnett, but it is my understanding that we are in talks to sign Barnett permanently at the end of the season.
Frenchman Rudy Gestede scored for Benin last night in their defeat against Algeria, Rudy could have played for USA, through of one of his Grandparents but chose Benin after being called up to their squad earlier this month and was eligible through one of his parents.
Ben Turner is back in training and will be fit for Saturday's match with Peterborough but captain Mark Hudson is ruled out for the next 2-3 weeks with an ankle injury.
I got a few spaces left for Watford away due to some drop outs so contact ASAP if you wish to join the trip with us

Same here . An away membership would be the extent of my purchase ( if such a thing even exists anymore )

Obviously it was coming but I'd rather wait until it happens before I decide to give up
