A forum for all things Cardiff City
Wed Mar 27, 2013 5:23 pm
We are looking to get together & hopefully celebrate City's success at the end of the season
Not everybody is happy with the clubs rebrand and for many of us Cardiff City will only ever be Blue
So we are organising a day that all fellow Bluebirds can Unite and celebrate our clubs history and hopefully success by turning Cardiff Blue - Blue Sunday in the Home of the Bluebirds - Cardiff City !
This is purposely being held at the end of the season so will not have any detrimental effect on the Club
This is a celebration & not a march against the club, rather exercising the right to pay tribute to the clubs history, heritage and our beloved BlUEBIRD
This post is not intended to start a debate - If your hearts not Blue then don't come !- Simples

If this is going to be anything like 'Blue Tuesday' then we're fucked
Fans should wear blue to every game, not just one game!

What is it though? It's near Cardiff Castle.. But what is it?

Guys won't be like Blue Tuesday ( not sure what that was?)
This is purely a chance for like minded ppl to get together further details to follow on the group FB page but we have a photographer looking to get some memorable pics

Is this another group or the same one that are doing the march on April 1st
Wed Mar 27, 2013 6:23 pm
Another group , as much as We think the 1st of April is a commendable idea , it's not well enough organised despite the lads involved best endeavours - this is not on a match day and won't be looking for permission etc to march.
Worst case it's a good excuse for a day out on a bank holiday weekend with lots of ppl hopefully showing their support for the Bluebird - this is the best way we can think to do this, the FB Group is open for suggestions
Thanks

This will only work if it's promoted a lot, and considering it's not on a match day this will require A LOT of work. Good luck though, I'll join in if you get enough numbers.

I highly doubt the majority of those members will attend though

I really don't see the point in it, people in town when they see protests usually just laugh as it annoys police time, I know you're not protesting or that but it just seems really gay, just go to City games with Blue merchandise

Probably just another way of making money out of the name cardiff city or the rebrand

If your not interested in the group or the day out fair enough
But this sniping and trying to belittle the event is a bit pathetic even by the pro red standards
to be honest it reminds me of school yard bullies who billy because they don't understand
I'm half expecting curtain people to turn up to spoil the day for that very reason
At the end of the day its a group of like minded people meeting up to celebrate what it means to be BLUE
I'LL BE THERE Bluebirds

Does anyone actually know anyone who is "pro red" I hate it when those words are used to describe a Cardiff city fan.

Thanks for the support.
We have people showing interest and contacting us on a daily basis.
So it is obvious that some like the idea.
The whole point is to have a day that we feel we can celebrate being a BLUEBIRDS fan.
Would be great to see big numbers but it isn't essential, that's not the reason behind the day.
Although many of us still can't fathom how people are content to let VT alter the club so dramatically, it is evident that some city fans are more than happy to let the club's history be swept away and replaced by the new owners Brand.
For many that is simply not acceptable and this is a time to celebrate that in our eyes we will only ever be Bloooooobirds!
VT can try to eradicate the club's heritage & identity, but we will always know that any future success that may be achieved is off the back of the BLUEBIRDS
Which will always fly high & proud
