Jonathan Williams

got a bit of the "chris burke" about him, in the way he attacks.

Could turn out to be a good player in time.

I was just having a quick look at his wiki page, qualified for Wales duty as his father was born on Anglesey

Re: Jonathan Williams

Wouldnt be surpised if a few prem clubs are sniffing about at the end of seaosn for him. Looks a decent talent, and glad he was capped by us.

Re: Jonathan Williams

Wed Mar 27, 2013 1:15 pm

I'm impressed. Based on what I've seen I would offer £5m for him to play Premiership Football in Cardiff next season

Re: Jonathan Williams

We'll take him next season. ;)

Re: Jonathan Williams

Man City are preparing an £8m bid.

Jacks after him too but that will probably price them out, man city would be a terrible move.

The boy is on a different planet to Burkey.

I think JW could play at a very high level... hopefully not Man City though for his sake.

No good for the jerks. have you noticed how he always looks to get forward and try to beat defenders? He would have to be retrained into the, get the ball, look back towards his own goal and make a backward (or sideways "attacking" pass of 5/10 yards) before they could use him.

This is how Allen got his passing statistics.

Allen was a defensive midfielder.

Routledge, Michu, dyer, Hernandez very rarely pass backwards. The defenders and defensive midfielders pass into space to move around the opposition and look for gaps, whether this is back side or forward is irrelevant as the passes aren't intended for penetration they are intended to move the opposition out of their rigid formation - when this happens they spring an attack. Hence why they sit in the top 10 in the prem with a major trophy under their belt and European football to look forward to.

Sorry to be blunt,

Fergie will take him definitely. I didn't realise he was been courted in the millions even before the Scotland game.

i heard this yesterday too...

would be a very bad move... would be another wasted talent playing reserve football..

Re: Jonathan Williams

I can see him coming to us or the Jacks and he might well choose us. If Palace don't go up he might do a Victor Moses and move to a lower premiership side before moving to the big time. I understand he and his parents are Palace fans, he might well stay for a few seasons to try and help them to the premier league.

Quality player and surely a main stay in the Welsh midfield, I think Allen will find it very difficult to get back in the side.

Hardly.

Man City are pushing their youth talent through.
Look at SWP, Sturridge how they came through and Micah Richards who has been injured.
Rekik, Suarez, Lopes have all played too.

City are lacking in midfield too with Barry being Barry... He'd probably get game time

When everyone is fit, I'd like to see a Wales midfield three of Allen, Ramsey and Williams.

Leldey etches out Allen for me. We need an engine, someone who can break up the play. Ramsey has less than impressed me recently for Arsenal but he was great against Scotland. King has been great also, tough choices as we have a fantastic midfield.

Must be. I couldn't name that many scumsea players.
Still think he would not adapt to their team, despite poxmans blog on their players.

Our styles changed to the philosophy of "every pass is for a purpose" and Pablo for example rarely passes anywhere but forward and has a low pass completion rate.

I can't see him going to you, it's not a big enough step up for him to leave Palace who's a fan of and I don't think he'll come to us either as we're not in to spending big money on British players. I see him staying at Palace for a couple of years as there star player and then going for big money to one of the biggest Premier League clubs.

I'd like us to have all four in their, along with Bale and Bellamy. We do have fantastic depth in midfield though, as even if we did opt for the four of them we'd have David Vaughan, Andy King and Jack Collison as back up to them.

Palace will start to use more I reckon.

He has even started many games for them.. I would love to see him here and would happily get him for 5 million.
