I think the problem we have with CCS is mainly to do with the fact that the few hundred regular singers in the Grange and Canton that could at least generate a bit of noise at NP are now spread out around a much bigger stadium.
Also you have the type of fan that goes to football nowadays. The sort of fan whose priorities are in order if importance -
1. Beating the traffic
2. Half time food/drink.
3. Football.

That game itself proved how an atmosphere can have an impact on the pitch.

To me it just shows how our matchday experience has gone downhill at home. Going to the Cardiff City Stadium is like walking into McDonalds during a 6 year old's birthday party these days.

You sound as if you are using this award as an excuse not to bother create and atmosphere when in reality we can do both.

Sven, you clearly are "anti-youth" as you bring up my age in every post. Stop using it as an excuse to think you're smarter than me because you're clearly not.![]()
Just because a "youth" like me can actually contribute to a debate it doesn't mean that I'm trying to make out that I'm "some wise old sage". I must admit I like winding up people like you on here but I'm not really that much of a prick.By the way, you're accusing me of something which you keep doing.

I'm only replying to you for my own entertainment and I'm guaranteed a reply because I know it winds you up, remember it's only a messageboard, don't take it so seriously.![]()
To answer your question, I think personally that the Canton Stand and the Grange Stand need to be swapped over so that both areas of our vocal support are on both sides of the away end, making it a lot more intimidating for the away supporters and therefore creating a better atmosphere due to banter etc. This doesn't neccesarily mean there will be trouble as other grounds in the UK have proved that. For this to happen they'd need to make the Ninian Stand (two blocks next to away supporters) a singing section. I know this would be quite complicated in terms of seating arrangements, season ticket holders and the fact that the Canton is larger but it could work if the club were organized and made sure supporters were still guaranteed a seat in the ground like they have done with season ticket holders such as myself in 117 for next season as the away section is going to be expanded. This idea would be very effective but I know the club would never allow it in the near future because they want to keep our "Family Club of the Year" image. That's my opinion anyway, don't accuse me of being an "wanna-be hooligan" or something as I'm really not. This suggestion which has been mentioned many times on here would 100% boost the atmopshere.

I thought Swansea would walk away with an award like that (what with them all being related, if you know what I mean) but then I saw the criteria and you just have to say that this is a huge 'feather-in-the-cap' for Cardiff City FC
