Football fans still have that burden over them on being stereotyped as hooligans and it's incredibly annoying. What I will say is though, fair play to the Rugby lads in Canton last week, The CCSC coaches were on the way to the CCS and they clapped us, doing the ayatollah etc. Personally I'd love to see the nation being behind both sports, not just rugby. There's no reason why not to if we're promoted but it seems the latter half is just incredibly stuck on rugby

I'm a season ticket holder down the CCS and have been a supporter of Cardiff City for well over 40 years.
I never played football but played rugby for many years at various levels including representing my country, Wales...
I support all sports Welsh and yes I was at the Wales v England game last Saturday and yes again I was 'pissed'.
Last night I watched the Welsh game, great result, and then watched the Osprey game.
I totally agree that rugby matches are an event but that is because your average fan would not feel as comfortable at a football match as they do at rugby.
Could you imagine a Wales v England match in Cardiff with 200 people in a pub split 50/50.... No.
As for the arrests, around 50, none were for violence or rugby related. There are probably 30 every weekend without the extra 75,000 people in Cardiff for the rugby.
I no longer play rugby but still go to and enjoy the big matches and I do know a fair bit about the game. I now watch Cardiff City every game that I'm not working, home and away and have traveled with Carlos Coaches many times.
And my last point is.. I've been around the country and have been refused entry to many clubs and bars wearing a rugby shirt but have also been in Cardiff on a rugby matchday wearing my Bluebirds shirt and been allowed in everywhere. I support 2 teams Wales (playing anything) and Cardiff City.... Not 2 sports!!

I totally respect your post. Regarding your last point, are you serious about being allowed into places in Cardiff wearing your Bluebirds shirt on rugby international days? If so, what places are these? I know they're more lenient during the day but in the evening after the game there was absolutely no chance with me wearing a City shirt or Wales football shirt in the several places I tried going into in the past?
