I'm not saying there was a large majority of Jacks, but there certainly wasn't a large majority of you lot unless you were embracing Hymes and Arias which was our main song during the game.

It wasn't, play it back. It's pretty clear every time.

No Wrexham as they are off to Wembley. Plenty of Cardiff. Jacks there obviously but did not give it away they were there of which i cant blame em. Loads of Wales i would say living in Scotland that was there.

It was clearly the actual song, and you really are deluded if you think the main song being sung by Welsh fans was an anti-swansea song.

I actually stood and watched large numbers of folk sing the above version, all along the segregation line. There was some quality banter going on!

I didnt actually check what minute :? Folk were singing it, that is a fact. That's not to say that more people weren't singing the right words over them, but folk were singing it. It's upto you wether you believe me or not, I couldn't give a toss either way.

I didnt say I didnt believe you, just making the point that it probably wasn't in the numbers you thought it was as there was no sign of it through the sound of the crowd. Just the proper version very audible and clear four times, twice in each half.

There was a good 30-40 right across from me about halfway up singing it to those words, as you say most would have been singing the proper version.

Well that's why it wasn't heard then, it was only 1-2% of the crowd.

It's not 'your' song anyway. It's a Welsh song, which the egg-chasers have sung for years and sung many many years back at big games which attracted crowds full of people with no affiliation to any club.

I've only heard your lot sing it in the last 3-4 seasons on any regular basis.

The 'other' version sung by a few Cardiff fans isn't very pleasant either and I'd be pleased people at home couldn't hear it.

I'm not bothered by Hymns and Arias anymore, I probably would've sang along if I was there. Of course it originated from rugby and it was made for rugby, but the lyrics that are sung have nothing to do with rugby, and to be fair it sounds good.

Does it matter how many Cardiff or Swansea were there?

It was a WELSH crowd for a WELSH game.. Not a club game!

Well done everyone who sung their heart out for the team.

That's true. :malky:

As City fans we are often guilty of this, we should be more welcoming to the Jacks when it comes to Wales, FFS its not like we are a massive football nation

Agreed, I really think people should put aside Cardiff/Swansea rivalry for Welsh games. People shouldn't be allowed to wear club colours in, which I've seen happen at the CCS anf the Liberty and things like seperate stands for Swansea, Cardiff and the rest belittle our nation.

If our teams going to have any sort of success, we need to unite as a nation.

I don't see massive trouble between Celtic and Rangers for Scotland games, they are a united nation. Same for England and all their rivalries. There's no trouble between Ospreys and Scarlets for the Rugby internationals either.

Anyway, individuals might have sung the anti Swansea version. But the majority would have song the Welsh song, I'm not saying it's our song or anything like that but it's a quality song and something you seem to hold against us when you sung it in the 80's. We haven't only sung it for the last few years, we've been signing it for as long as I can remember going down the Swans and I've got a video clip of us signing it in January 2006, away to Sheffield United, followed by some anti Cardiff songs but there's not much footage of us before then. There's only 2 videos of us at Bury, when we took something like 6,000 for our League 2 promotion the season before that. In the last few years though, I would agree that it's become our main song, it's something that the quieter fans seem to join in and it's a song that can generate a huge amount of noise and has drowned out Wembley on many occasions in the two times we've played there in recent years.

But after last night, it does show that you can't really have a go at us for singing it whilst the Welsh fans sing it.

In truth there were a load of Wrexham fans up here, met and had a drink with several groups of them, most heading straight Wembley from here, ain, t come across any Jacks, and you can understand them wanting to keep a low profile, :old:

Agreed with Chuckles and SCFC.

When it comes to international games rivalry should be put aside and we should unite together to support our great country. Cardiff City and Swansea City has nothing to do with Welsh international football other than the two clubs are based in Wales.

All this so called rivalry / banter is inane.

You are following your country and it still comes down to little rivalries.

Some need to grow up.

The proper song was sung by about 80 per cent. And last night was about Wales as a Nation and should not be about Club football. In the Pub there was some singing Cardiff songs and that is wrong really. After what happenex with Mikey the Welsh fans should stick together as one.

so nukes, the question is, are cardiff gonna stop the" rugby song" shit they give swansea when it would seem many of you on here were singing it at a football match last night?
