6 welshmen in it. Bloody joke. Some of them have never even lived in Wales.

A team capable of getting the 3 points, I assume we will go 4-5-1. The Scots will target Gunter, definitely the weak link in our team tonight.

Aye but we got no threat up front as usual

Are you having a laugh ? We have Craig Bellamy up front on his own, with Bale right behind him in central midfield.. Got to add as well that old city boy Kenny Miller is having a good game. He's had a few good chances on goal, looking quite dangerous. Shame he didn't show that kind of skill and effort on a regular basis for Cardiff.

Gunter, Ramsey, Ledley, Bellamy, Collins, Burke, Miller, Marshall. You can almost make a full team out of players who have played for City involved tonight :ayatollah:

Ouch, 1-0 to Scotland. Good goal.. Corner to Scotland, and Hanley gets the header in. This will turn the game around now, after it mostly being dominated by Wales. :(

Half time, Scotland 1 - 0 Wales

10 shots in the game for Wales... All 10 on target.

That's quality.

SCOTLAND’S first meaningful game under the management of Gordon Strachan ended in bitter disappointment at Hampden last night as Wales repeated their World Cup qualifying win of October by coming from a goal down to win 2-1.

With Scotland leading 1-0 thanks to a headed Grant Hanley goal on the stroke of half-time, the match turned dramatically in the 71st minute when Robert Snodgrass conceded a penalty for a late challenge on Chris Gunter. The Norwich midfielder was shown his second yellow card, and as he traipsed down the tunnel, Aaron Ramsey tucked away the spot-kick.

Within 93 seconds, ten-man Scotland were left reeling when Hal Robson-Kanu headed Wales into a lead that would have been scarcely believable three minutes earlier.

The result leaves Scotland rooted to the foot of Group A, and Strachan’s problems did not stop at the result alone – with Steven Fletcher stretchered off in the opening minutes after landing awkwardly on his ankle,. and Snodgrass suspended.

Craig Bellamy: Wales victory against Scotland thanks to Gary Speed's lasting legacy
Craig Bellamy dedicated Wales’ 2-1 win over Scotland at Hampden on Friday to the memory of former manager Gary Speed.

In a moving tribute to his late friend and mentor (who took his own life 16 months ago), the 33-year-old Cardiff City forward claimed that the flair with which they overcame their robust but unimaginative opponents had been Speed’s gift to the nation.

Unfortunate to be a goal down at the interval, the Welsh were more fluent and inventive than their hosts, who appeared ponderous and witless by comparison. Bellamy believes that, even without Gareth Bale, who failed to reappear for the second half, Wales are capable of combining style and substance.

“We were also without Joe Allen, who fits into that mould,” Bellamy said. “We’re developing footballers here. We were a left a legacy by an incredible human being and we followed that through. That makes me even more proud: we represent him every time we play, his ideas and the way we play. That was his philosophy and we stuck to it. I’m proud to be a Welshman.

“Don’t forget we won four games out of five (in 2011) against good teams like Switzerland and we did it in the right manner. The only game we lost was against England and we didn’t deserve that: we were outstanding that day.

“We weren’t at it in the first couple of qualifying games but this is what we are, this is what we’re good at.
