I hope she has a brilliant time and enjoys herself.
I'll be glad of the peace and quiet, all she has been doing for weeks is singing and dancing while i'm trying to watch the frigging tv.
I'm really proud of her, 16 and performing on stage in a foreign country. Theres about 20 of them from the college going and i know they all have the talent to entertain the crowd.

Good luck to her. She should really enjoy herself as all the people I know who have had the similar experience over the years have had a great time.
To be fair to Disney , they have been running this scheme for many years now , which has enabled hundreds of UK dance groups (and other performers) to have the opportunity to perform on one their stages and usually its in front of quite a few hundred people as well. Its open for most age groups , from about 5 years of age upwards (depending on the age profile of the group invited)The foreign experience is an added bonus. Disney in the States do it as well but , for obvious travel logistics reasons , the vast majority of their invites are to U.S. mainland dance schools.
Which dance school is your daughter in? And does she want to pursue showbiz as a career and apply for one of the training schools/acadamies (if she does , I`m more than happy to give you a steer on the pros and cons of it all)?.

She wouldn't be that kind, Steve.
I'd be lucky to get a bus shelter down on Aberavon seafront.

Keith, she is in Neath College doing Music and Performing Arts to 4 A level standard.
She is considering Manchester or London for uni, I can't remember which one has a music academy.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
Also if you know of any authors and/or minted people who might consider funding her next trip, which is to New York next year, then please let me know![]()

Is Brioni looking to focus mainly on the music side (i.e. musical instruments) or the singing and dancing side? I know a number of people who could give her advice on the musical instrument side and have got personal experience with two of my daughters for the latter.
If it helps I can p.m. you some views and tips or give you a ring.
One tip to start off though - start saving ASAP!! Its a career involving longer periods out of work than in and getting through the degree courses , especially in some of the better musical theatre or dance colleges ,isn`t cheap either. But the rewards for someone like your daughter with a love of music can be great (life experience wise) if she has the talent and drive to succeed.
One question. If Brioni is only 18 at the moment , what is she planning to do between now and Uni as most of the music/dance schools only take on from 18+?

She doesn't play any instruments.
She's 16 and the course she is on covers Dance, Music & Drama with several sub catagories within each subject.
She has been told to apply at the end of this college year to the uni's because of the competition for spaces.
