DJANGO UPROAR.

Thu Mar 21, 2013 1:31 pm

Gotta laugh at the backlash that Django unchained is getting.
Certain memebers of hollywood/America are appalled of the way,the slavery subject was projected in the movie, and the over use of a certain N word.

So theyre okay with the fact that Slavery actually happened, and that a word classed as a derogotory is so openly used in modern society, But they dont like the fact that someone made a film about it.

haha good one uncle tom. ;)

Slavery is in no way is lightly approached in that film, the most brutal scenes show how barbaris it was.

i watched a news report on the film from american tv and some local MP type person said "This film is misleading,Slavery lasted 245 years,we should be proud that we eradicated it" He looked like he was in his 60s and white.

few things stood out in his speech for me
- When he said "We Eradicated it" who did he mean? surely not the white man?
- Seriously, you think its eradicated.

its not a laughing matter i know, but how deluded are some of these people.

I don't see how "certain members" quickly became a generalized "uncle tom".
I live 60 miles south of Hollywood and while there may be a few idiots here the vast majority of Americans are no different to us. They love the movie and the box office returns reveal that.

Uncle Tom was a figure of speech Al. Not meant to be taken as "the whole of society".

Here are a few complaints that have been made towards the film(copied and pasted obv) but they all seem to generate around the director and stars than actually challenge the fact that slavery took place.

-Django the movie is a cheap shot playing to inaccurate stereotypes of the old South. The movie promotes racism as a matter of justifiable payback using an historically an inaccurate storyline. I will not be buying a ticket for this movie.
I am a 42 yr old white woman who grow up in the texas. Jamie Foxx is a joke..the only black people that were ever called that name are ones who were acting like one. Then they call each othere one? that never made sense to me. White people were called honkey, by the blacks and hispanics. Did i ever get offended no. Because yes i am white. but are not the blacks being racist? affter all the "special programs" setup just for them because of their color. White american has over paid their dues on this matter. blacks and any other race need to grow up.
All of Obama's welfare programs from today are nothing more than thinly veiled slavery reparations for blacks. Welfare, Food Stamps, Section 8 housing assistance, Obama Phones and now ObamaCare.. Time for the slavery reparations to end and "African Americans" learn to work again. The free ride on this honky's back is over.
Most whites call a black the "n"word after that person has raped or killed someone. Blacks are generally irrational and its getting well nigh impossible to converse or work with .
NOTICE HOW HONKEY WAS NOT EDITED
Jamie Foxx... total @sshole. Done with him, too. Adios, Jamie, killer of the white man. What the the hell do folks expect when a person like this says the things he says. This tool worships the mortal man obama like he's a god. Fine example hollywood sets, huh.
the creator of inglorious kikesters at it again! take your hollywood filth and shove it.
I don't know, why is it racist fro George Zimmerman to defend his life against Trayvon?
An aside: read the Slave Narratives from 1930s online from library of congress, most slaves adored their owners, the cruel masters they hated....slavery was wrong but these dozens of interviews are eye opening
I agree...and one other thing...Kill all the porch monkeys while we are at it....

Hell Even the great Spike Lee Who gave the whole "It's insulting to my ancestors if I watch it" speech, pretty much made his gripe with the director publicly. But does not swipe at The Great and Powerful Steven Speilberg for his Snub of Frederick Douglass in Oscar winning Lincoln.

For those wonder who he is;
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Douglass

Surely that is a bigger issue seeing how Frederick was and is a historical figure within the history of African American slavery and Django Freeman is a fictional character?

CCS, Quentin won Academy award for Best screenplay and Christophe Waltz won his second Academy Award for supporting actor(first was in Tarantino's Basterds).
