I thought that the naming rites were just a bargaining tool and if sam doesn't agree to a settlement then they can sell them to whoever they want.Being a premiership side in the making,they won't be short of offers!!

Unless Langston is settled then the first £9m from naming rights goes to Langston. So stadium won't have a sponsor unless Langston gets settled.

The stadium will not be named at the moment due to legal reasons , the stands will be sponsored first apparently

The above comments about Langston are true, but so is the fact that the debt might be finally resolved this summer if we go up.

So it is good to speculate and personally I wouldn't be adverse to the Stadium being called 'Dragons Lair' or Dragons something. In fact if the supporters organisations are clever enough they would support such a naming as long as the bluebird was kept on the badge

It is just my opinion Tan will eventually rename it the Berjaya Stadium to promote his business further. That's my problem with it, Tan using us to promote his business and Malaysia further while not caring about the local fans who are the life and blood of our club. Tan is promoting us to Malaysia and unfortunately, the majority of us are allowing Tan to continue doing this, despite Tan not giving us any thought whatsoever. Our stadium being renamed to the Berjaya Stadium or something similar will be just another part of the traditions of Cardiff City being taken away and yet another part of Tan's Malaysian rebrand taking over our football club.

youve just stired it up by mentioning it! Why dont ppl just shut up for the time being and let the season come to an end, we can all say what if, if this happens etc etc, until the club actually "stir the hornets nest" by mentioning it lets concentrate on gaining promotion!

Renaming the stadium has nothing to do with traditions being taken away. The name CCS was always going to be temporary. The name Cardiff City Stadium has nothing to do with the traditions of Cardiff City. The naming rights were always going to be sold, everybody knew that. I even remember the fuss created by fans when the stadium was given the name CCS - people hated it.

Seems to me like another issue to use against Tan when it has nothing to do with the rebrand whatsoever.

The name would have changed whoever was in charge of Cardiff city.

TBH I don't really care what the stadium is called ,if it was renaming Ninian Park back when we were there then I would be fuming but the fact we haven't been there that long it doesn't bother me

And if Tan hadn't changed the shirt colour or was our owner would you have cared if he sponsored the stadium and ploughed his money in and named it the Berjaya Stadium....

As long as it's not something cheesy and corny like you would hear in the Rugby leagues i'm okay.

Something similar to Stoke's Britannia or West Brom's Hawthorns would be good. Not going to happen though.

With the new FFP rules , stadium naming is a biggy. Owners are already looking at OTT payments to enable them to help their clubs.
As far as the name CCS - I'm sure you all know that the club negotiated with that name - It was originally meant to signify a Stadium for the City of Cardiff (egg and footie) , but we got the better sounding name.

What about the "Moaning Minority" Stadium? or the "Keep Cardiff Backward Looking" arena, "Ludite Lane" the choices go on and on!

I am beginning to think that some of the anti Tan hysteria on this board is being driven by some very distatseful undertones.

The so called fans that only want a Cardiff born multi millionaire to take control , pour in millons with no commercial agenda or desire to change anything, are sadly living in some kind of parallel universe.

I do however even given all the above have a huge amount of respect for those that did the old second division away matches with winding up around every corner, no investment and very little hope. If you miss those days and the camaraderie in adversity that it brought, why not try some Welsh League football where success and ambition are as rare as the Cardiff born financial benefactor that you so desire!

Your post proves you're yet another glory hunter who just wants success at any cost. The difference between you and me is your main concern is success, but my main concern is my football club keeping its identity and playing in blue, whatever the level. You tell fans like me to push off to Welsh League Football? I was taken to my first City game back in 1988, fans like you wouldn't be able to jump on the bandwagon if it wasn't for fans like me keeping our club afloat back then! If watching a successful team in red matters to you so much, then why not start going to Old Trafford?
