Taxi Drivers!!!!!

Last new years eve me and my friend got out to pay for a taxi to get home by Mandy, the Aston martin garage. The driver drove off and left us. We live in Merthyr.

Last weekend we gave the driver 70 and he dropped us by Ponty refusing to go any further, 5 minutes extra?. This was at 430am.

Also last weekend, a girl who went out in Merthyr was ridiculously drunk. Her friends gave the driver money to take her home, easily enough money. He drove around the corner and carried her out and left her. They then rang the police and caught him.

My friends sister got dropped by the Tamarind Curry house. Which is next to a dual carriageway with no way of walking home. Also in the early hours

They moan about taking abuse. They clearly know when they can get away with it. I genuinely don't know how I'd react next time, I've had enough of them. Rip of prices and complete a**holes.

As a former taxi driver I find it absurd that you would consider doing that to the next taxi you are in.

I loved my job when I started it, the biggest problem comes from statements like that above which suggest every taxi driver is like that. I know boys who were accused of rape and all sorts who wouldnt hurt a fly just because drunk Jo Public took a dislike and assumed we were all the same.

I thought about saying some taxi drivers because I thought their would be someone on here who is or used to be one. Of course there are good and bad. It just seems that a certain type take advantage of people and have no decency. I'm not going to go into ethnicity, even though its obvious.

I should add, I did leave one drunk arsehole on the side of the M8 miles from himeafter he told me he wouldnt be paying me and showed off a nice shiny blade. Thankfully I had a screen between us and he thought he was smart getting out to get at me. Just an example of what taxi drivers face.

Taliban taxis picking drunks up in town are notorious for stuff like that, heard loads of stories and been refused to be taken past ponty myself

I live in Treharris, loads of times the taxi drivers start kicking off about the distance near ponty, I just give it the old 'not far now mate, just around the corner' all the way home

Are there any white taxi drivers anymore in Cardiff? Taxi drivers back in my day used to be salt of the earth Cardiffians who knew everything about every part of the City. Nowadays they are all Asian with the morals of a newt.

Thankfully the Cardiff bus is a sanctuary for those Cardiffians.

Ive been a driver in cardiff for twelve years. im in a minority as im white. i must say most of the lads white asian and indian who work days are good people. however when dark falls the quality of driver falls with it. im no racist before anyone has a pop , but i tell you something i get many many tales of people being ripped off , overcharged treated with disrespect and threatened by our foreign freinds. in fact i can honestly say that out of all the bad experiences that passangers have told me 99% have been somali or asian. this is fact. taking advantage of people under the influence particularly young women and the old. fuckin disfrace. nothing is ever done about it. makes my blood boil.
