VINCENT TAN.

IT'S EASY TO SAY WHY YOU DON'T LIKE THE MAN.
TRY SAYING WHY YOU DO LIKE/APREICATE//RESPECT THE MAN?

He has helped develope a very impressive squad with surrounding staff and improved facilities and is on the verge of realising my personal dream of seeing Cardiff in the top flight. A dream that for me was re-ignited when Sam joined the club.

So please don't abuse people's views and opinions on this thread just state your own personal view.

My view is that the club were saved after PR (I know VT joined later) by the Malaysians and we could be in a worse position than Pompey. Everyone states they would follow the club no matter what....that just isn't the case. Our gates would be around 8k if we were in Pompeys position....if that!

He has put us in a position that most of us haven't been before. Of course it would be nice to be in blue but I support Cardiff City. I never liked SH but yes I still followed my team.

We are in a great position, hopefully we shall kick on........ we have a great set up now. Who remembers Dog Shit Park where our players trained?

VT is a tremendous person for this club - without him we would barely be in existence.

I firmly believe that as the years go by, the rebrand will be seen as the moment when we moved out of obscurity and became the point at which we started to become a force in the footballing world.

I feel for those who feel strongly against the rebrand, but those are my genuine views.

I just hope most fans (especially the ones who have remained loyal over the years when we were in the dungeon) will continue to attend, although I also respect the views of those who feel they cannot.

Leaves the FOOTBALL matters to Malky and the management staff and doesn't want to get involved in the running of the team.

Has backed the manager with money when requested as he said he would.

That's not true. He said himself that if he left, he would leave it in good hands... Or don't you trust his word? :laughing6:

Re: VINCENT TAN.

My personal feeling is I appreciate what he is doing for the club but I just cannot fathom why we had to change colour it really does bother me , he obviously wants us to succeed , however he is being naive in thinking that a football club is just like any other business and cannot seem to grasp why some supporters are against the rebrand, if he understood football a bit more before he invested then I don't believe he would of changed the colour.
I wish I could like him for being the person to give us a successful team but I can't as he has stripped us of blue :(

I trust he's a good businessman, and any good businessman would make those kind of noises as not to do so would be to give himself no chance of getting a buyer.

The reality however is that he would genuinely try to get a buyer, but would fail and would be left with no alternative but to put the club through, or continue to lose millions a month - He's not going to continue to lose that kind of money and the club would be gone.

It's very simple really :thumbright:

Die that is just propaganda coming from those who are licking Tans arse.

No one knows what would have happened if Tan had not stepped in. We had been in this situation a few times and survived it.

Thanks for not making this a personal slanging match between users and for given your opinion as asked in the original post.

Much appreciated.

Ian I think that is totally rewriting history. We know exactly what would happened if part of VT's £6m investment in May 2010 hadn't been used to settle the HMRC tax bill which had a pending winding up order in the High Court i.e. we would have been wound up.

That is what happens in the High Court when tax bills are not settled, ask Glasgow Rangers.

saving the club, putting money into us, improving the infrastructure and facilities, bringing in a good manager and letting him spend, money towards supporters travel (a bribe maybe) = great man!

disregarding fans views, changing the clubs identity, makes the fan base split = bad man

he's a bit like marmite, you either love him or you hate him!... personally i think without him we'd be fooked so i thank him for that, but the manner in which he thinks he can change everything to his own liking makes him a spoiled c**t

Despite a large Business empire, he has been to a lot of our games this season, without him we'd have been falling apart, he has saved this club. He leaves the football side of things to the footballing people, he has a close relationship with Malky.
