Changed your mind?

I've had enough of the usual sell outs, plastics, blah, blah, blah.

This is for the fans who were very anti red and were determined to stay away etc.

Now we are near to promotion have you changed your mind? We have success ....whether some like it or not. Was the urge to come back so strong you put everything else to one side?

Please don't allow this to become another knock....it's obvious this is for those that changed their mind and it must be quite a number.

1) - He hasn't a clue what he is doing and no game plan.

2) - This is a cynical and calculated detoxification of the Cardiff City brand. He chose a subject that would isolate the "bad eggs" to the point of leaving "the brand".

Both are divisive and won't help us next season.

The stadium will be full...that's all I care about. If people choose to leave that's fine by me.

I entirely support the rebrand, but also agree entirely with SBF1 here^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Exactly! It seems most of the fans who have left were the same fans who were there keeping us afloat back in the 80's and 90's. The new brand of our fans were nowhere to be seen back then and I doubt many of our new fans will stay with us if we do plummet down the divisions. It's a shame VT has done this. Some of our loyal, diehard fans were at Rochdale away on a cold Tuesday night hoping that one day we would get to the Premiership. But now the very season it looks like we are getting promoted is the very season these same fans are being driven away.

The new brand of our fans were nowhere to be seen back then and I doubt many of our new fans will stay with us if we do plummet down the divisions. It's a shame VT has done this. Some of our loyal, diehard fans were at Rochdale away on a cold Tuesday night hoping that one day we would get to the Premiership. But now the very season it looks like we are getting promoted is the very season these same fans are being driven away.

At most there would have been about 50-100 fans at Rochdale on a Tuesday night and I can assure you that figure was far too small to keep the club afloat, even in the 1980-90's.

However, nobody can knock the loyal support given by the generation of fans who are now well into middle age. But that doesn't mean that the club has to tread water and not attract newer/younger fans. We now play before 23,000 on a regular basis which hasn't really happened since the days of the legendary 'almost' team of the early 1970's.

We have moved on and that happens in life all the time. The simple fact is you either adapt or you perish, that are the harsh truthes of life.

TBH for a bunch of so called super football hooligans (as most of the 80's & 90's fans were supposed to be) I am personally astonished at the amount of cry baby outbursts (i.e. It's not fair Tan should do it for us) along with toys being thrown out of the pram (i.e. I'm not going anymore etc.) that I have been posted over the past few months about the rebrand.

The fact is the much derided Supporter's Trust are the only ones who have stood their ground and actually tried to do something about it without throwing a tantrum.

A lesson for us all.

Where you one of those who left after Toshack was sold in 1970? Just I thought that excuse had run its coruse but up on que another handy excuse pops up i.e. the Rebrand.

Simple if you don't go then you don't go, no-one really cares and you can be a Martyr all you like and I'm sure whoever gets your seat will be ever so glad you decided to boycott.

What I can't understand so easily is why people have decided to stay away without a fight.

No protests, no march, not even any chants against the rebrand.

Surely if you feel strongly enough to stop going you'd feel strongly enough to fight against it?

Personally I could not stop going, I enjoy it too much. A name change would have severely tested that but I like to think I would've gone down with a fight, so to speak (note to Gwyn - I don't really want a fight)

I care, I think it's awful that a selfish man has driven proper fans out of the club.

That's not true Tony.

I believe there was quite an abrasive opposition to a start up group opposing the rebrand.

But South Wales is traditionally famous for standing up to authority and sticking it to The Man.

What's happened to us?

We even managed a march against the riddler and he gave us a new stadium and cheap season tickets

I think you're right though, it's the fear of VT walking away and leaving us to the courts.

Again, I can respect that too but I wish we could've at least organised some show of displeasure.
