Went to this cracking pub/restaurant again yesterday, I've recommended it once or twice in Cardiff restaurant recommendation threads, and thought I'd mention it again, cracking food in there yesterday, deffo worth popping in.
It's on the corner of chippy alley and the Hayes (used to be a gay bar)

i was in there friday night,great place,and if you look carefully,lots of gays still go there, p.s.i was with a woman...
,but it is a good pub

ye been in there a couple of times,mind you need f*cking oxygen by the time you reach the bogs

and mocha after,upstairs for a boogie...

I noticed that there was another toilet entrance to the left of the downstairs bar, didn't go myself so I'm not sure if that leds to a closer bog than the upstairs one.
I had a lamb dinner and a really nice starter, I even took a pic of it, masterpiece it was....I'll upload it now
It was a potato and spinach hash topped with egg....lush

no,it takes you upstairs...lol...food looks nice,and the woman i was with is called dave....strange that...lol

they wouldn't let my mate in after a Cardiff rugby match as he had a Blues top on - said no sports tops. Seemed crazy policy with the money they stand to make on Wales rugby internationals.
It was on the same weekend as the Scotland game so might have somehting to do with it, but a bit sad when 2 old 50+ farts like us 2 get refused entry to a(n ex) gay bar - if you'll excuse the double entendre missus, itter ye not
and yes for those boys who need a map, the bogs are upstairs - you can get in the side or the fron, no back way in
