Palace would need 19 maybe 20 points depends on GD to get to 85 points 6 wins and possibly 2 draws out of 8 games

Forest would have to win 8 in a row on top of the 6 on a row they already have...any draws or defeats would rule them out.

If we win 4 and lose 5

Hull would have to win 20 points out of 24
Watford would have to win 21 points out of 24
Palace would have to win 7 and possibly draw their other game.

Both Watford and Hull have aleady lost 12 games and history shows that only 1 club in the last 27 years has won automatic promotion after losing more than 12 games. Can they both remain unbeaten for the last 8 games.

Palace have won only 1 of thier last 11 away games taking only 7 of the 33 points available and with 4 games away from home it is going to take a hell of a change in fortune for them to win all thier remaining away games.

And as no club in the last 10 years has won ALL of their remaining 8 games so history tells us Forest won't either, we will see to that trust me.

84/85 points may well be enough to get us promoted but I think we will get more and the others will be fighting it out for second place. Palace would be my best guess as thier home form together with an improvement in thier away form should get them into 2nd place.

Thing is now we are some are looking at what it takes to win the title and others are looking at just promotion so we are getting different figures.

I think we shouldn't rule Notts Forrest out of the auto places and we need 10 points to be out of their reach. I think 12 points gets us promoted if thats.

The home game V Charlton/Away to Burnley is where we should seal promotion.
