In an average Championsip season 62 pts will guarantee a top half finish. So in an average season we got there 9 games ago when we won 1-0 away at Leeds.

Having reached 75 points yesterday we have guaranteed a top 6 finish as since the introduction of the playoffs only 1 club, Burnley, have failed to reach the playoffs having won 75 points, and they lost out on goal difference.

Yesterday we also equalled the record of qualifying, at least for the playoffs, for 4 seasons on the trot.


But as you say this season we certainly have bigger fish to fry.
