Dave Jones programme notes

Sun Mar 17, 2013 5:30 pm

Thought they were quite ironic yesterday. Spent almost the whole column saying how wonderful the Wednesday fans are and how fantastic their support has been this season. Just like he used to do with us!

And then a very small final paragraph welcoming everyone from Cardiff.

Thanks Dave.

And thanks for 6 points this season!

I noticed that too. It was like he deliberately went out of his way to get up our noses.

Six out of 12 paragraphs prattled on about their wonderful support.

Must have been an off day supportwise yesterday then. They are a big club though obviously.

Didn't like the Jones chants from us mind.

Can't fault our support, been in the bottom six all season, sold out every away game and in the top two for best support of the season and if we were in your position we would have 30,000 at home! One day you to may be a big club! ;) :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

As soon as we went a goal up I knew we had won the game. Dave Jones cannot get a result against 4-5-1 or when his team goes a goal behind. The contrast between Malky and Jones was there to see. Malky, as close to the pitch as possible barking orders, Jones, as far back from the pitch as possible in the dugout!

Now't to do with we have only paid £700,000 out for one player and how much has Malkey spent???????? :old:

Didn't sell out at CCS, brought just over 1000, so telling porkies I think! But yes, bigger than Cardiff. :ayatollah:

Sunday no excuse. We took 2500 to Wolves on a Sunday and could've taken more and we're a small club.

Meant to say Sam, I lived in Sheff for a year and loved it. Football mad city. Lived in Upperthorpe for a bit - big Wednesday area. Even got taken to 93 FA cup replay defeat to Arsenal. You're shit now though ;)

Judging by the number of threads on him he succeeded

I don't really care what he says, it was all about the result :ayatollah:

Looking at yesterdays team Sam we aint really spent a lot.
Marshall - DJ era
Tayls - Free (possible 200k comp to boro)
Barnett - Loan
Nugent - Academy
Connolly - Around 200k possibly less

Whitts - Dj era
Gunnarson - 150 k compo
Cowie - free
Bellamy - free

Cambell - 750k
Helguson - 100k

Thats not a lot on a Championship winning team.Just the right mixture of hard working players.
I wouldnt knock your support cos its great, but think your team and manager aint up to much ;)

It's weird the way it's worked out how the big money players have hardly features.

I wonder how we would have fared without Etien, Mutch, Kimbo

All 3 still quite young, i do believe Ettis been treated unfairly mind. He cant do no more than bang them in for the development. Also a little disappointed that kadeem harris hasnt had a run out. Looks real good for development, even if its off the bench when the games won. Maybe we might start seeing these players more when the leagues won

Not saying they will turn out to be bad signing just they haven't had a huge impact this season :ayatollah:

The wages of them players would be quadruple the Wednesday team

Campbell and Bellamy combined would be more than Wednesdays 11

Wednesday also have had Jay and Connor Wickham this season. I bet them 2 combined will nearly be as much as Bellers and Campbell. All be it loan players and their parent clubs are paying a big percentage
