Yeah, and with us still to go to both and them to play each other, that ain't gonna happen either!

Just to explain a bit.

This morning Hull and Palace could get 92pts so we needed 93pts.

At this moment in time Hull can get 92pts, Watford can get 90pts and Palace can get 89pts.

These figures suggest we need 91pts but with Watford and Hull playing each other, a Hull win leaves Watford only getting 87pts and if Watford win Hull can only get 89pts.

All scenarios mean that 90pts is the figure today and watch that drop with every draw or loss for the chasing pack.

It's great for us that they still have to play each other. This is why we only need 90pts and not 91pts.

Palace have won only 1 of their last 11 away matches taking only 7 of the 33 points available. Their home form is good but no better than ours.

How many points do you think they will take from their remaining 4 away games and how will that affect their final points total.

Watford have to play Hull, Peterboro, Millwall and Leicester.

The only easy game there would be Millwall as they should be safe and not going for the Play-offs by the time they meet.

They could easily lose the other 3 especially as the timings would have Peterborough still fighting and Leicester probably needing points to make the play-offs.

They could end up with only being able to make it to 81pts.

There's no way any team will finish with 8 wins, too much at stake at top and bottom and the fact the Championship is so unpredictable.
I reckon the most any of our 3 main chasers can hope for is 6 wins a draw & a defeat, that's asking a lot especially as has been stated that Hull play Watford. On that basis the most they would achieve is 84, 85 & 87 points but again as mentioned above it's a huge ask.
I genuinely feel that 85 points will secure promotion this season, possibly even the title, that probably means 3 more wins IMO

Totally agree.

On the current form of all the clubs chasing we can afford to DROP our current form from 3-3-2 to 2-2-4.

We may only need 9 more points but as you say 85 pts will probably do it.

Im thinking as little as 85 points could be enough for automatic promotion.

If its only 9pts then WOW....my nerves wont be able to hold out...going to be the best april ever
