Oreyt lads, just thought i'd pass by and congratulate you on your win yesterday.
It was a horrible, scrappy game which had 0-0 written all over it, but you showed why you are top of the league by taking your chances when they come to you. I thought you were effective, you turned up, killed the game, bullied the referee and took the two chances you had without playing very good football. Alot like Charlton last season in League One, not pretty but get the job done.
I was very disappointed with the referee, i'm suprised he didn't swap shirts with Bellamy at the end, he was petrified of him, wasn't forceful enough and let you slow the game down and get away with time wasting. Just on a side note, the standard of refereeing has been awful at Hillsborough this season, you found it the same? Not trying to make excuses for our poor season but referees have been awful, cannot remember them being this bad.
Unfortunately for us, yesterday was a nightmare, us and Bristol City the only two teams to lose in the Bottom half, everyone else picked up three points which sees us 1 point above the relegation zone, sickening as since January we've done really well, such a shame everyone else is picking up points again. 43 points would have seen us safe last season, now it looks like we will need something near the 55 point mark to stop up. Ridiculous. Really don't know what to expect from Dave Jones for the remainder of the season, pray too god he doesn't go on another one of his nightmare runs.
Good luck for the rest of the season, pretty confident it is just a formality for you know, see it over the line. Be nice to see you in the Premier League, you deserve it after knocking on the door for so long.
UTO
One little moan though, didn't approve of the Jimmy Saville/Dave Jones chants yesterday, thought you'd be better than that.

Referees in this league are woeful at best.
As for DJ chants.... disgusting mate, wish they would ban that element of our support.

cheers, got to agree the ref's have been shocking this season, chanting bang out of order and i hope they feel good spoiling a cracking day, fecking disgrace to the club,

Got to agree mate the refereeing has been poor this season. Can't comment on the chanting as I wasn't there but I thought it was aimed more at Jonesy having it away with some lesbian

. Hope you stay up this season too as you are a massive club, much prefer to see the wurzels go down. So good luck and all that

No doubt this season we have the knack of winning ugly and yesterday was proof of that. As for referees I always thought we would win the game because with James Linington we actually have a 100% WIN rate, compare that to Keith Stroud where we have taken 1 point from the last 8 games when he has been referee.
Thankfully we have had Stroud twice this season, lost both, and in the last game he completely bottled a nailed on penalty for us against Brighton when we were 1-0 down. That and a completely rediculous decision by that idiot Coote against Peterborough are the only poor decisions we have had this season. Certainly haven't had a perfectly good goal not given like you lot had against Watford but that sort of think does happen when your at the wrong end of the table.
The last 5 games have shown that Wednesday have what it takes to be fine in the division, beating Palace and Leicester and losing by the odd goal against Forest and Watford are positive signs. Knowing DJ he will have you more competitive next season, I have no doubt about that.
Sad about the chanting but DJ had the knack of rubbing our fans up the wrong way and wasn't universally loved because of it, but he made us stronger year on year and gave us our first cup final in 80 years. For that at least he deserve some respect.

Even the name Coote sends shivers down my spine! If he can become a referee then I can become an astronaut!

A minority of our fans have shamed us for ages.

Cheers for that......I certainly hope you stay up as I regard Wednesday as a huge club.
I agree with you on the chants. This is unfortunatley a small minority and they are brainless morons.
Dave Jones took us to a cup final and knocked on the door several times. Fickle fans always tend to turn on managers eventually and it was sickening. He has had to contend with a lot in his life and I can see why he might be cynical about fans etc.
All the best.

Good post.
The DJ chants are unnecessary but he knew they'd come. He has been here and knows what our fan base yet he has persisted to come out in the press and make comments adding more fuel to the flame. Of course he is going to get a reaction and the reaction he gets is most likely going to be one to get under his skin and hit him where it hurts.
Had he kept his mouth shut and left with dignity he'd have had no chants aimed at him by anyone. Im not saying its right but he certainly hasn't helped himself.

Cheers mate, all the best to u and your team to!
Not a Dave Jones fan and never was but he will probably ensure u limp to safety
Sun Mar 17, 2013 1:54 pm
Good post and spot on
I dont think City fans though are any worse than other fans when it comes to chanting.
Sun Mar 17, 2013 2:15 pm
Totally ashamed if our fans were signing pedo jokes at DJ, probably the same fans who went mad when other fans did it while he was at Cardiff. Pathetic.

An honest appraisal from SWFC_FAN and I hope they stay up too (far funnier to see Jez Moxey's Wolves and Brrrsol down first)
Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip to Sheffield (although the ticket got used

) but
IF these alledged chants agaist DJ were made then I think the so-called supporters involved should hang their heads in shame
We see it all too often nowadays and I cite the rumblings of the adolescent jon_ccfc as a prime example of one of formative years who doesn't understand the seriousness of the bile they spout
DJ used to be OUR manager and no-one had a go at him (for that) then, so why now?
Drink doesn't excuse it, guys. It just makes it more of an issue

Thanks
Delighted with the 3points. Agree with the Jones/saville chants being bang out order,Most teams have their fear share of idiots unfortunately
I fear for your championship status, especially after Jones bitter and childish post match interview,he just doesnt seem up for a scrap which is what wednesday are in now
Good luck but i think youll struggle
Sun Mar 17, 2013 6:36 pm
The standard set by referees this season has been poor and not just you but us aswell. There are plenty of times when I can think that we deserved a penalty and didn't get it.
On another note I'm sure that you'll survive this season. And next season if you strengthen you could also have a shout of being in the Premier League. But I don't think that Dave Jones is the man to get you there.
Sun Mar 17, 2013 6:36 pm
I agree Steve and unfortunately we've got some real loons at away games, thankfully in the minority, and people who behave stupidly around children deserve what they get.
Sun Mar 17, 2013 6:39 pm
I didnt hear any peado chants - there were a lot of instances of chants about his recent alleged "liasons" but nothing sinister unless i was just too pissed to heaar them
Sun Mar 17, 2013 7:51 pm
Cheers nobber
Sun Mar 17, 2013 9:11 pm
We have had s**t refs can't disagree.
