FINAL LEAGUE TABLE Based on Current 6 Game Form

Sun Mar 17, 2013 10:42 am

Slightly skewed by Forests 100% record, but even on our average run it still looks good. May change a tad after Palace's game today.

Final points are rounded to the nearest full point.

nice format, the only problem with constructing any model is the missing column "pressure".

Forest have come with a wet sail with Bolton with little pressure, Boro and to a degree Leicester have crumbled,Hull,Watford and Palace have dealt with it better, but after yesterday they probably think its any one of three now rather than any 2 from 4.

Will be interesting Palace going to brighton today....

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: C'mon Brighton.

Slight update now Palace lost. :malky:

Now shows that Forest could do a Reading, on current form, and get automatic. Unlikely though as it will take another 8 games added to their winning streak.

those final stats would mean that boro got 10 points out of the last 63 ( 21 games ) available  .

3 of them against us.

I know you can manoevre stats to suit any point of view, but I like looking at a 10 game stretch. Taking the last 10 league games, this is what the current top 6 have achieved:

Won Drawn Lost Points
City 5 3 2 18
Hull 6 0 4 18
Watford 5 1 3 16
Palace 5 2 3 17
Forest 6 1 3 19
Leicester 2 3 5 9

We have lost less than anyone. Only Forest have gained more points (1) and they are 15 points behind us having played a game more. Look what has happend to Leicester!

I accept our playing form has been up and down during this period, but let's look at that - I think some of the best football we played recently was against Brighton, a game we lost 2-0!

It goes to show that this league is so hard to get out of, it is a grind - perhaps our style will improve once we near the finishing line, perhaps it won't. Frankly, it is not important right now, winning (and avoiding defeat) is the absolute priority.

Can't make the Peterborough game but will be at Watfod, hopefully Burnley and definitely Hull.

Up the City :ayatollah:

That's how poor they have been. The 6 game form god is a bit skewed due to Boro's appalling form and Forest amazing form.

There is a better post based on an 8 game form guide. I can do the same for 10 games if anyone wants it.
