Vile chanting

Sun Mar 17, 2013 8:57 am

Sorry if already posted but have to mention the vile chanting by some of our "fans" yesterday.

Songs about Jimmy Saville being Dave Jones dad and calling him a paedo were cringeworthy and embarrassing. Also altering the Hymns and arias to say touched by your fathers and by Dave Jones.

Just goes to show I'm afraid that unfortunately we have a small but consistent number of brain dead arseholes who follow our club who think this sort of thing is funny.

Unfortunately this has been the case for the whole forty years I have been following the City and no doubt these wankers will continue to drag the name of our club through the dirt.

Idiots.

Completely agree.

Makes me sick to the core of some of our fans. I hope they can be identified and banned for life.

I dont know why we abuse Dave Jones, he was our Manager and got us to the FA cup final.

I agree with the OP, but DJ do put himself in the firing line, his bitterness towards our club, and then his private life.....wife who stuck by him through his troubles, he now fucks off with some bird a lot younger.

The abuse regarding the netball player can be expected, the Jimmy Saville comments I see no connection but the peado comments are well out of order and very embarrassing.

Agree. DJ did well for Cardiff and that's out of order.

I'll be honest I didn't hear any peado chants yesterday....but I heard the Saville chants.

Didnt hear any Peado chants, but heard the Saville chants.... Its the same thing!!!!

Agree hes open for chants about the netball player, (in good taste)

But with regards to the kids, its out of order. its not banter, and its certainly not acceptable "because its at the match" as people like to think they can say anything at a game and the players/managers should put up with it as its part of the match day experience, what the crowd does, banter etc etc etc.

We need to get rid of these neanderthals, and i believe we should help by self policing the situation.

Don't care if he got us relegated 4 times, no one deserves that f ucking wankers.

Re: Vile chanting

The Jimmy Saville was the loudest chant coming from your end.

Awful. A don't get the animosity towards DJ from you lot? He turned you from a bottom end/top end League One club into Championship promotion contenders year on year. He also took you to an FA Cup final.

Very strange why you would detest a man who did nothing but good for your club.

because certain posters hold really pathetic grudges and people follow like sheep, they hate DJ because they have been told to and cant seem to form their own opinions.

these chants are disgusting but considering these type of chants were around by our own fans when he was our manager im not surprised they are there when he is in the opposition dugout.

not really, the wednesday fan here doesnt understand why we would have a go at DJ well all im saying is there was rumblings when he was our manager its not very surprising that its come to fruition when he is in the opposition dugout. Especially when your one are two are very influential fans.

Re: Vile chanting

Sun Mar 17, 2013 12:08 pm

You said there was "Chants". There wasnt so stop lying.

Annis rumbling about DJ because he didnt like him is completely different to saying the home crowd chanted the same vile chants at him when he was our manager.

Its a bare faced lie

So who are you blaming?

Re: Vile chanting

I wasn't keen on the man but nobody deserves such abuse. Looking back his teams played attacking entertaining football, not the dour brand be served up today.

not blaming anyone, just stating if people feel it acceptable to call him a pedophile whilst he is our manager I cant say im very surprised it arrives on the terraces more when he is the opposition manager. Charlton away in the 07-08 season where we lost 3-0 when fans were calling for him to be sacked was the first time I really remember it. Play-off final against Blackpool I had the displeasure of having to listen to it at the end of the game from a group of fans a few rows in front of me.

Just wondering who you are referring to as the influential fans who you are indicating that joined in those chants.

lots of people are influential in different ways and people follow. I know people who have complained to the club about it in the past, the club said there was nothing they could do about it so you have to put up with it.

The club can do a lot about it and ban these fans for life. If they have sufficient evidence then they should act.
