"Home Advantage"

Sat Mar 16, 2013 10:40 pm

It doesn't seem that, recently anyway, that "home advantage" has actually been an advantage to us.

Our crowd is far too quick to boo a missed pass for example, away from home the team seem far more relaxed.

I have not been away since Leicester, and perhaps those who do go away more regularly can back up what i'm saying or blow it out of the water, but it certainly seems like we're better away than at home at present.

Perhaps the home nervousness is a lot more and that's where sometimes the team is struggling...

Ben Nugent in the last home game was clearly nervous, put a ball up field and 70% of the ground blasted him when it went wrong, he then spent the rest of the game short passing to his nearest team mate because his confidence had clearly been blown.

Today, he started again, and I'd like to ask those who were there today what was he like? did he seem as nervous this time?

Cheers.

Can see where you're coming from and agree, we aren't as heard as much, as an away fan you usually expect a smash and grab as you're away from home.

Nugent - 1st half he was showing his poor form, 2nd half - didn't put a foot wrong

Football fans nowadays are so impatient and unforgiving. How often do you find a player that has been playing consistently well over a period of months, they have a loss of form, have few bad games and suddenly they are "shit".

A good example of this is our own position. We have been top of the division for nearly FOUR MONTHS and still we have had some final whistle boos during our recent blip. We've lost TWICE at home all season!!!!

In years gone by, even when we have been in relegation battles in the bottom divisions you never had the fans booing the team off the pitch.

Who are these people and what the hell is wrong with them?
